Frank Zappa allegedly once said, “Hollywood is just the entertainment arm of the Pentagon.”  This is absolutely true, and what started as a joke often wasted on Facebook on numerous comment threads has ended up becoming an entire dissertation for me.  Zappa also said once that “government is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex,” which is also true.  Personally, I don’t like the term, Military Industrial Complex (M.I.C.), all that much because it’s just as much of a cynically calculated misnomer as the term “Corporate America,” in that it works as a red-herring to pull people off the scent of the actual issue of concentrated private power (A.K.A. feudalistic aristocrats/plutocrats hiding behind corporate structures, foundations, and think-tanks).

Were it not for Hollywood, military recruitment probably would’ve dropped even further, long before 9/11, believe me.  If not for Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Tom Cruise, they might’ve had to reinstate the draft after we attacked ourselves to start this current never ending War of on Terror, bringing me to the original source of my joke.  But rather than get all sidetracked into a lengthy digression about the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, Stanford Research Institute, the RAND Corporation, and the social engineering shenanigans of the Hollywood studio system, I’ll just tell you my joke.

“If you ever wanted to know what the Anglo American Establishment was really up to, just watch 24, they’ll tell you.”

24, starring Kiefer Sutherland, is actually one of my favorite shows of all time for this very reason.  Because if there is one thing I can tell you about Fascists, they’re not exactly what I would call creative.  They pull the same gag over and over again.

Not to go all Building 7 here, but anyone with a rough idea of how the Hollywood studio system works already knows that a television show doesn’t just come out right away.  24 premiered in November of 2001, just two months after the September 11th attack. Incidentally, CDR Richard Marcinko, USN, SEAL was technical advisor to this show which coincidentally came out right after 9/11.  As an ex Navy guy familiar with old Demo Dick, I find it awfully coincidental that he was technical advisor to a one-hour, live-action, counter-terror drama series that was already developed, pitched most likely to several different producers long before finding the one who could actually walk it into a network like Fox, cast it, shoot it, and meet deliverables deadlines to be ready for broadcasting at too coincidental a moment in history to be anything less than a pattern.  Coincidentally, Dick Marcinko often crows about how he doesn’t believe in coincidence either, mind you. Those of you not familiar with Dick Marcinko, he was the founder of everyone’s favorite go-to SEAL Team of arbitrarily ignorant reference, SEAL Team 6 (now commonly known as DEVGRU).  Everyone’s favorite television counter-terror operative, Jack Bauer, is allegedly based loosely on his experiences.  I’m not sure how true that is necessarily, but I’ve read enough of his material to at least give this Internet rumor a little bit of credibility.  However, as I understand it he was only technical advisor to Season 5, but I digress…

But 24 is more than just a television series, it is without a doubt the finest imaginable salesmanship mechanism for not only the War on Terror but for the overall American political narrative as well, in that it’s helped to change attitudes, reinforce stereotypes, and normalize torture in the perceptions of millions of people whom normally would have found it morally repugnant less than 20 years ago.  One could even go so far as to call 24 a high rated torture porn, but we’ll get to that shortly.

I remember a time not all that long ago, where if you were to mention torture in casual company, it would’ve been frowned upon. But somehow, the Fox Television Network action-drama, 24, had this insidious way of bringing a pro and con torture debate into numerous episodes with the obligatory, “but we’re America, we don’t do that, it’s against the Geneva Convention,” etc., subsequently followed by, “but he’s got a bomb, he’s got a nuke, he’s got a virus, he’s going to kill the _______,” and torture would win the debate, even if it meant that old Jack Bauer had to “go dark,” with  everyone hot on his tail with shoot to kill orders nipping at his butt, just to get ‘er done.

Jack can get ‘er done, no?

To ensure that you forget that Jack Bauer just tortured somebody to get the doohickey that was going to blow up something or another, the bad guys will capture Kiefer Sutherland and give him a good torturing too, to further remind the American psyche that it’s okay to torture the bad guys because their guys are probably torturing our guys too, no?

When I first moved out to Los Angeles in 1992, less than a week after the Rodney King Beating Verdict ignited riots that set several, noticeable upon arrival, portions of L.A. ablaze.  Growing up in small town Midwest America, we didn’t have a lot of easy access to alternative media as you would find in a city like Los Angeles.  I’m not saying that we’re particularly unique in that regard because Chicago was never all that far from my hometown, but in small town America an underground bookstore just wasn’t all too common.  In L.A., I’d met all sorts of different people from all walks of life who’ve passed me information of various significance, books, pamphlets, files, and the like.  I never knew that there was a name for it until I recently started seeing various YouTube videos talking about “predictive programming.” 

If you ever want to know what the Anglo American Establishment is up to, just watch 24, they’ll tell you flat out.  I read some material more than twenty years ago that explained how this system actually works.  Allegedly, between the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, the RAND Corporation, and Stanford Research Institute, a psychological profile of the American public is performed annually to determine just what we the people are ready to accept next.  Based on such input, trends and fads are preset for everything from music to fashion to film and television as a part of a societal destabilization to further centralize authority and ultimately control it through such destabilization.

Narratives are easiest to implement through film and television, and as far as I have been able to determine, it goes kind of like this.  Your news media is lying to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365/12, on just about every mainstream media news outlet.  But you are being fed tiny snippets truthful information, however, mixed up with Hollywood razzmatazz (A.K.A. “bullshit”), and it’s implemented in this manner so that you’ll already be of an unofficially indoctrinated train of thought where if the actual truth were somehow exposed, you already knew it anyway.  Meanwhile, actual whistle-blowers end up getting mixed in with the hodgepodge of self-anointed “research journalists” on YouTube and blog-pages like this one.  Any of the Hoi Polloi out there like myself who calls the system out on their thought-form propaganda can easily be dismissed as someone who saw one too many episodes of 24, one too many episodes of the X-Files, one too many episodes of Person of Interest, one too many episodes of  ________________ .

Enter Jack Bauer and Fox Television’s hit series, 24.  Before I go too far here, don’t get me wrong because I too enjoy a bit of escapism and 24 happens to be one of my all time favorite shows.  I actually own the entire series on DVD.  But my little 24 dissertation here is really one of the main things I love about it, that and the action. Being that I’m a closet gamer fanboy too, I had the game and loved that as well.  I’ve always been an admirer of Kiefer Sutherland too, being that he can cowboy with the best of them and I’m one of those weird bookworm blogger pothead musicians who actually likes rodeos and thought that he was badass in The Cowboy Way, but I digress.  As I had stated previously in How 24 Sold the War on Terror, it was awfully coincidental to release a “real-time” War on Terror action thriller just 2 months after 9/11.  I don’t believe in coincidences, so there’s that. But back to “predictive programming”, because with the exception of two things, the ridiculously overblown terror scenarios and Hillary Clinton, everything else on 24 pretty much came to pass.

Don’t believe me?  Let’s start from the beginning, Season One of 24 starts off, not necessarily on the radical Islam tip right off the bat, but we’re given a vague explanation about how U.S. covert actions in the Balkans are coming back to bite us in the ass.  But in a vain similar to 1997’s the 5th Element (Tommy “Tiny” Lister), 1998’s Deep Impact (Morgan Freeman), 2003’s Head of State (Chris Rock), and 2006’s Idiocracy (Terry Crews), the Military Industrial Complex propaganda wing that is Tavistock, RAND, and Stanford Research Institute, Hollywood studio system’s predictive programmers present veteran actor, DENNIS HAYSBERT to let y’all know  —>> BLACK GUY, gonna be the President of the United States, and you are going to just LOVE him.

But let me give you the skinny on Season One of 24, so that we’re all on the same page.  Jack Bauer, whom was already disliked an mistrusted by numerous people at CTU because he had brought down a number of CTU agents as corrupt, was placed on a high alert when he and his coworkers at CTU are informed that there is a plot to assassinate Senator David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) on the day of the California Presidential Primary.  Jack’s daughter, Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) is kidnapped as a means to coerce Jack to be the one to kill the Senator and soon after his wife, Teri (Leslie Hope) is additionally kidnapped and dragged into the whole mess, we learn that all of this links back to an operation that Jack participated in, in which Senator Palmer authorized a Delta Force unit to be sent to Kosovo, Yugoslavia, to assassinate one Victor Drazen (Dennis Hopper).

Let’s start with the torture, shall we? It didn’t really dawn on me right away, but come season two it was already kinda filling itself in. Never underestimate the devious nature of the ideological Fascist in the sense that you must always remember that at their very heart of hearts, degradation is their endgame.

The normalization of torture is a societal degradation in that it degrades our collective sense of morality. It doesn’t matter that it’s been demonstrated and clearly stated by numerous intelligence professionals that torture isn’t a reliable means of producing actionable intelligence. I think Nice Guy Eddie said it best when he said the following…

After several episodes of shooting, looting, and drama, not to mention to torture of Ted Cofell (Currie Graham) as shown previously above, the show does end with Jack Bauer getting his man and getting his kid back but at a grave cost to him personally.  But I have to take a slight detour here, because this is going to go on for more than a few posts and something’s been bugging me for years that I’d nearly forgot to address.

I want to talk about the treason of Jamey Farrell (Karina Arroyave) a moment before I wrap this up.  The writers really didn’t put too much thought into it, which disgusted me to no end and I can’t help but to stop and say a little something about this because it was one of the first things I’d noticed since it was all just way too cliche.  When they find out that Jamey was working for Ira Gaines (Michael Masse – R.I.P. 2016), they gave the most ridiculously stereotypical answer on planet earth that they give for every Latina character ever given on television or cinema.  What was it?  She had a baby, it’s always because she had a baby and needed to take care of the baby.  Are you fucking kidding me??  You mean to tell me that these racist fuck-stains in the writers room, whom came up with just about every contingency imaginable to the point that a common line throughout the show was “contingency plan” couldn’t come up with a better reason for a CIA data analyst or data scientist who lives with her mother in Echo Park in 2001 (Echo Park was nowhere near gentrified back then, it was a shithole) to completely betray her country and participate in a plot to assassinate a U.S. senator running for president was because she had a baby to take care of?  You jive ass motherfuckers don’t know that a CIA (there IS no CTU, welcome to Hollywood) data analyst can make anywhere from $81,732  – $122,598 per year.  A CIA data scientist’s salary ranges from $126,205 – $138,317.  Perhaps the next time nitwits decide to come up with a reason for an individual to betray their country on television, they could at the very least come up with something better than the most racist unpolished turd reason they could cook up.  But I digress…

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype reinforcement.  Poorly thought through, but thoroughly engaged.

The season ends with Jack getting his daughter back, saving Senator Palmer, and killing Victor Drazen, only to be rewarded with his wife being murdered by one of his most trusted work associates, Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke).  I’d say that puts us all on the same page for the first season of 24.  The one major takeaway for the American psyche is that traitors, spies, and infiltrators are literally everywhere and our guys can’t even trust each other.

Season One was kind of easy on the torture, but in the second season they go all the way, believe me.

** SPOILERS GALORE, but it’s old enough of a show that you probably already saw it before.  But I know some who haven’t.

Season Two (Day 2) of 24 starts with torture from jump, when in Seoul, South Korea, South Korean intelligence operatives torture a man (#1) and give the supervising American CIA officer the word, “today”, and President Palmer’s vacation with his son is interrupted by news of actionable intelligence that there is a nuclear device under terrorist control on U.S. soil and that it is supposed to go off today in L.A..

•  RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture produced actionable intelligence on a nuclear device.

In alignment with the new post 9/11 narrative, a known Middle Eastern splinter group called Second Wave is behind it.  Because of this, unemployed burnout former CTU agent Jack Bauer is called in personally by President Palmer to forget about his murdered wife and come back to CTU to help stop this nuke from going off in L.A.  For brevity’s sake, I’ll be leaving out pointless subplots involving his daughter Kim.  However, immediately we are shown that various NSA, Joint Chief’s, State Department, and D.O.D. officials are scampering about behind his back in efforts to prep for war, even though it’s unclear as to what country, if any, is involved in this terror plot.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: paving public opinion for presidential plausible deniability.

Less than 20-minutes after Bauer is brought back to help with finding the nuclear device, this happens…

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Duplicity in government – The government is willing to give a free walk to murderous chomos (prison term for child molester)
  • Given the current Jeffrey Epstein situation, your mind was already engineered to accept such uncomfortable truths, remember that. 
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Murder of a Federal witness is on the menu when it comes to national security.  Truer words have never been written.

Jack reestablishes cover with Anti-government American domestic terrorists , Eddie Grant, Chris Jones, Scott Owen, Dave, and Frank, who bring him along where they subsequently murder a telephone company repairman to disrupt communications signal and gain entry into CTU to blow it up and kill everyone inside.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Stereotype reinforcement – Self proclaimed patriots and constitutionalists could very well be terrorists, and in reality they very well could.
  

Needless to say, Jack Bauer gave ample warning, the NSA fucked him.  After the bombing occurs Jack kills the “taking our country back” white patriots off and their leader, Joe Wald kills himself.  Shortly thereafter, President Palmer, after having given Nina Myers, who killed Jack Bauer’s wife the year before, a full presidential pardon in order to get one step closer to the nuke, which after discovery that a NSA connected Special Operations unit was involved, we’re led to another Muslim terrorist which gives us yet another torture opportunity(#2).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: – torture, radical Muslims torture a nice clean cut American man to death in a most gruesome manner and almost do the same to a nice lady just to be thorough, reminding Americans that when they do it they’re far more brutal than us.
  

Then after some hemming, hawing, shucking, and jiving over the rightness and wrongness of things, the President decides to have his NSA Chief , Roger Stanton (Harris Yulin) tortured (#3) when it becomes clear that the U.S. covert operations unit that was tracking the nuclear device, the Coral Snake Group, was under NSA Chief Stanton’s control all along.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: presidential double whammy
  • Plausible deniability, exhibiting that the President could be having things happen behind his back for his own protection.
  • Torture – When George W Bush was just getting warmed up in his War on (of) Terror, presidential participation in torture is being normalized in the name of protecting American lives from terror, even nuclear.

After Jack Bauer has foreign operatives fake the killing of the son of the apparent terrorist quarterback, Syed Ali (Frencesco Quinn) in order to obtain the location of the bomb, which was being monitored by commandos, all of whom were murdered by their own leader, Captain Jonathan Wallace (Gregg Henry), in order to hide the fact that it was orchestrated by members of the American business private sector from the very beginning.  The bomb goes off safely in the desert and we’re given a bunch of who-ha regarding a telephone conversation that shows 3 different countries involved in the conspiracy to detonate a nuclear device on US soil.  An interesting development in this is that Syed Ali is accused of meeting with these Middle Eastern government officials in Cyprus, “the Cyprus recording.”  (Cyprus is a known money laundering hub by the way)  Syed Ali states he wasn’t in Cyprus, but in Berlin, Germany.

• Side-note, if you follow Dr Joseph Farrell, he lays out how the actual 9/11 hijackers were in Berlin and had strong German connections. 
  • Side-side-note, at the end of Season One (Day 1), wild-card independent operative traitor, Nina Meyers (the one who killed Jack’s wife), she actually killed Jack’s wife because she overheard her handlers saying that nobody could know about her connection to Germany.  I could go on for hours on Germany, and will in another blog-post later, but this is important and you should keep this in your personal mind-files.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Predictive programming – Canadian startup known as Lyrebird has come up with software that can mimic anyone’s voice using algorithmic A.I.

Shortly thereafter, Jack and a foreign agent, Yusef Auda (Donnie Keshwarz), from one of the three countries accused of conspiring to detonate the nuke on US soil, take out a team of commandos sent to kill the Wallace of the Coral Snake Group, who just assassinated Syed Ali and happens to be the only person who can verify that this Cyprus recording that all the experts claimed was genuine, was a fake and that the clandestine unit allegedly tracking the nuke was was killed by their leader whom was tasked with making sure the bomb went off so as to start a war in the Middle East.  However, in the midst of the firefight against the team of commandos sent to kill them, Wallace was mortally wounded but a data chip containing the original source recordings proving the Cyprus recordings were fake was recovered from his ribcage.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: False flag terror – truth in television.  They’re pretty much letting you know that we have numerous individuals within our own government working on behalf of unknown private sector players to justify wars and clandestine operations.

We see now that wealthy private sector individuals, one Peter Kingsley (Tobin Bell) and had been orchestrating everything from the start, but more importantly we’re still being engineered to sell us the war on terror when Jack Bauer is tortured by Kingsley’s mercenaries (#4).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture (reverse scenario) – here we see Jack Bauer being tortured by terrorists to further remind the American psyche that our guys get tortured too, which further manufactures the consent of the American public.  They do it to us, so we do it to them and it’s right to do so.  
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: truthful information dissemination.  All corporate punditocracy news and opinion media outlets on television, radio, and Internet continually push the “radical Islam” terror narrative, but in reality, and you will see this repeatedly throughout the entire 24 counterterror entertainment series, it’s a bunch of wealthy oligarchs, corporatists, industrialists, and fascists orchestrating everything along the way to further their own interests and control the USA for their themselves.

Needless to say, Jack Bauer turns it around, kills them and escapes.  Meanwhile, the President’s entire cabinet aligns against him to possibly invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution to remove him from office because he won’t commit to military action against the three countries accused of conspiring to detonate a nuclear device on US soil.  Shenanigans ensue and the US goes to the brink of launching a military attack on three innocent countries before Jack Bauer saves the day, catches up with the baddies and a disastrous war is prevented by his heroic actions.  He kicked a lot of ass and killed a lot of people along the way, it was epic.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – conveys the message that the President might have people on the inside working against him, which regardless of whether it’s true or not, gives plausible deniability and doubt enters the American psyche, shielding Presidential accountability. 

But in the end, we learn that Peter Kingsley was working with another dubious German arms dealer in a yacht named Max (Thomas Kretschmann), who set forth a contingency plan after Jack saved the day and stopped the war, and for the second time in the series, we see the assassin, Mandy (Mia Kirshner), whom we’d seen before in Season One when she stole an I.D. from a fellow air passenger and blew up the plane after she jumped out.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: truthful information dissemination – As I stated in the previous post about Day 1, we’re being lied to 24/7 365 on every news outlet, yet given snippets of truthful information through fiction to engineer public sentiment whilst also giving just enough of the truth to provide plausible deniability. 
  • I mentioned the German connection with Nina Myers given at the end of Day 1, and also mentioned the German connection to the actual 9/11 hijackers.  Naturally, to call them out on all of this gives them deniability and you’ll look like you’ve watched too much TV.

Fox Broadcasting Company’s popular counterterror action drama, 24, starring Kiefer Sutherland took a slight detour from Day 2’s radical Islam coming to nuke your Grandmother’s house narrative on Day 3 to wrap the War on Terror and the War on Drugs into one burrito to scare the shit out of the American people and sow seeds of misanthropic cynicism, paving the way for today’s current fear of the other who may be sneaking in from Mexico.

At the very beginning of the day, a van plants a bomb to blow open the entrance to the National Health Services to leave a dead body.  Jack Bauer is back, and together with his partner, Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale), they’re in a Federal Prison and a deal being made with a drug lord, Ramon Salazar (Joaquin de Almeida) that they took down who does business with terrorists, only for him to turn and stab his own lawyer in the neck, threatening that what happens next is on Jack.  Immediately thereafter we learn that the body left at National Health Services was addressed to a scientist, Dr Sunny Macer (Christina Chang), and that it had been previously infected with a type 3 immuno pulmonary disease.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: bio-terror – as if scaring the shit out of Americans with nuclear terror wasn’t already enough, a biological weapon is ever scarier, and an even more perfect consent manufacturing mechanism to remind us that they could sneak in from Mexico with diseases to wipe us out from the human race altogether.

We learn right away that The Cordilla virus (a fictional virus), a type 3 immuno pulmonary virus, similar to the Hantavirus, has an incubation period that was initially 14 hours but decreased significantly as a result of a weaponized variant added.  The symptoms of the virus were nose-bleeds, hemorrhaging, skin abscesses and death occurs within the first 24 hours, and they have no idea how they’ll release it or what form it’s in.   Immediately we see that some nice young white boy, Kyle Singer (Riley Smith), carried a bag of what he thought was cocaine across the Mexican border.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: war on terror/war on drugs wraparound – by inferring that a bio-weapon can be engineered to be in a crystalline form to be hidden within illegal drugs such as cocaine or heroin engineers public opinion towards fear of drug traffickers and terrorists working together to destroy America.

Shortly thereafter, the FBI receives a call demanding the release of Ramon Salazar, or else the virus will be unleashed.  His brother, Hector Salazar (Vincent Laresca) runs the operation from Northern Mexico and he has an operative working within CTU, Gael Ortega (Jesse Borrego), who is monitoring everyone.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype reinforcement – subterfuge to confuse the viewer about the loyalty or moral ambiguity of Latino personnel, whom as we witnessed in Season 1 might sell out the USA for money since they come from poorer communities.

To make the story more interesting, we learn that Jack had acquired a heroin addiction during his time spent undercover working to take down Salazar.  In order to stop the release of the virus, Jack gets silent authorization from the president to break Ramon Salazar out of prison and starts a prison riot to make it happen, subsequently evading pursuing authorities and absconding with Salazar to Mexico.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: counterintelligence – not that this is much of a mind-fuck, but at times it is necessary for operators to maintain cover by engaging in drug use and illegal activities.

After Jack has the tables turned on him and ends up being taken to Mexico by the man he just broke out of prison, through the use of chemical interrogation, we discover that not only was Gael Ortega not a traitor.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture (chemical interrogation) – Gael is tortured with hyoscine-pentothal (fictional drug) which is a drug designed to induce nerve pain throughout the body.  Sways public opinion with the perception that we’re willing to torture our own people and they’re willing to endure it in order to protect American lives.

In reality, Jack, Gael, and Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) were actually covertly using the opportunity to work Jack’s way back in with the Salazar brothers as part of a sting operation so as to get to the actual source of the virus because the Salazars weren’t really the ones in possession of the virus but merely seeking the virus themselves to act as brokers to sell it to other parties (terrorists) still unknown.  The virus was originally developed by Ukrainian scientists who were looking to sell it on the open market.  The entire ruse was so that Jack could gain possession of the virus and catch or kill the parties seeking to sell it.  Chase, unaware of Jack’s sting operation, pursues Jack to Mexico and ends up getting tortured by the Salazar’s men just before Hector’s

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – providing the Executive Branch from liability of criticism from public opinion by giving public perception that sometimes the president has no idea what’s going on behind his back, whether he does or not.  Note the last line, “he did do the right thing.”  Now if that isn’t a deflection of criticism, I don’t know what is.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: predictive programming – Ukrainian scientists foreshadow a recurring theme of potential inflammation of geopolitical tensions between the United States and the Former Soviet Union.  Ukraine is a part of the Former Soviet Union and also a Nazi sympathizer enclave in the Eastern Bloc today and in the past.  This is actually important when you understand that the Vor v Zakonye (Thieves In Law) criminal fraternity known vaguely as the Russian Mafiya or the Organizatzia.  Since the end of 24, the series, the United States and Russia (Former Soviet Union) have had continued growing tensions that have reached the point that many are calling it a restarting of the Cold War.

I’m sure you’ve already noticed by now that I haven’t stated much about cartel based corruption in Mexico, of which Day 3 of 24 makes abundantly clear throughout the first half of the season.  But let me bear emphatically clear, anyone who wants to criticize the drug cartel related violence that happens in Mexico has no need to look any further than Washington D.C. for a place to point their fingers.  More importantly, Americans need to stop allowing their state and federal governments to continue treating them like livestock.  All of this violence is 100% spawned but US domestic recreational drug policy and US foreign policy towards Central and South America.  Back to my analysis of the true lies of 24.

The virus is auctioned off when another buyer appears to contest the cartel brothers in an auction brokered by the man in possession of the virus, one Michael Amador (Greg Ellis), which was basically a means to bring back Nina Myers and make the show more interesting before Jack and the cartel brothers take it away from her and Jack’s people come in for the sting, only to have the virus turn out to be a bomb that puts an end to the cartel involvement with terrorists narrative by killing Ramon Salazar whom incidentally had just killed his own brother to keep the deal in motion.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement – Latinos are hot-blooded and fly off the handle over emotions or money (because they come from poor countries or communities, which I stated in True Lies on 24 – Day 2), and it was also illustrated throughout this story line by making Hector Salazar’s girlfriend, Claudia Hernandez (Vanessa Ferlito) a hotblooded firecracker gold-digger whom just happened to be killed by her hotblooded boyfriend’s fired up pursuit of her as she tried to escape with her father and little brother.

Meanwhile, even though I stated I’d leave out President Palmer’s re-election campaign, his brother, Wayne Palmer (D.B. Woodside) who was his Chief of Staff had wooed the wife, Julia (Gina Torres) of his biggest contributor, Alan Millikan (Albert Hall) and carried on an affair with her, thus Millikan was willing to torpedo his healthcare bill to coerce the President into firing his brother over it

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – back room deals and favors can always torpedo necessary legislation that could actually help the American people as a whole, thus leaving the President potentially blameless and the people shrugging things off to government corruption or bureaucratic bungling.
  

After Jack and his teams lose the virus to a double cross, Amador escapes with the virus after having his mercenaries cut down the Delta Force team that was on the scene and destroying his cellphone.  Needless to say, Nina tricks Jack once again by promising to help find the virus in exchange for another immunity deal, persuading him to make a phone call that triggers a worm that shuts down all of CTU’s counterterror database and threatens to expose all of CTU’s cover agents around the world.  But short episode consuming detour later, newbie CTU Data Analyst Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) saves the day for the first of many times throughout the series.  Short detour longer, they get to interrogating Nina with pain inducing drugs and she manages to break free, putting CTU on lock-down and ultimately ending Sarah Clarke’s recurring role on 24.

With Nina Myers dead, we discover that the baddies are in possession of 12 stolen former Soviet bio-weapon dispersal devices and that Michael Amador wasn’t supposed to fish for his side deal with the Salazars and that his employer knew who Jack Bauer is.  Later, after they send Marcus Alvers (Lothaire Bluteau) to plant a device at the Chandler Plaza Hotel on Wilshire to “send a message”, we learn that the person behind the whole conspiracy, Stephen Saunders (Paul Blackthorne) knows Jack Bauer quite well as he was part of the original team sent to Kosovo to kill Victor Drazen, which was the original inciting incident of the first season of the show itself.  When the virus is dispersed in the hotel and Michelle Dessler (Reiko Aylesworth) catches Alvers, he informs her that there’s 11 more dispersal devices, and she subsequently locks down the hotel, nobody in and nobody out.  It doesn’t go very well.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: bio-terror – a virus can infect a single person who can transmit the virus far and wide, causing catastrophic outbreaks that can wipe out an entire population.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: weapons proliferation – loose stockpile weapons from the Former Soviet Union are out there.  Propaganda or not, this is truthful information.  Semion Mogilevitch was once considered the world’s most dangerous gangster by the CIA because he had taken control over the entire arms industry of Hungary after the fall of the Soviet Union, making him the world’s first nuclear armed gangster.  There are loose suitcase nukes that it’s suspected he may be in possession of, and this season is just a fictionalized account of such realities we may actually be facing.

Jack and Chase follow a thread that takes them to a local MI6 branch office that is subsequently helicopter attacked and a C4 explosive blows up the servers that hold drives with information that is available nowhere else on earth, which of course Jack manages to get one.  Meanwhile, after having already been coerced into saying the phrase “the sky is falling”, which we never become aware of its intention, terrorist mastermind, Stephen Saunders emphatically orders President Palmer to have Regional Division Director of CTU Los Angeles, Ryan Chappelle (Paul Schulze) or else he will release the Cordilla Virus at another location, has has until 0700 to deliver his corpse to a given location.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: terrorists can win – don’t you ever forget that the USA is constantly vulnerable and that it’s important that we win “by any means necessary” , including torture, murdering our own officials when necessary.  This also works to further justify your tax dollars not going to schools, roads, bridges, environmental preservation, because it’s best for all your money to be routed to the military and our intelligence apparatus, and don’t you forget it.

Plot thickens when it’s discovered that Stephen Saunders has a daughter, Jane (Alexandra Lydon) and that some insurance salesman was at the hotel cheating on his wife and went home to his wife and ended up also going to the pharmacy and the hospital and came into contact with a number of unknown people, thus upping the chances of the disease going viral and possibly killing millions of people.  Already, the majority of the guests in the hotel were dead or dying.  They capture Saunders’s daughter, and just about the time that Jack and Chase have Saunders surrounded, his people capture Michelle Dessler (whom just happened to be immune to the virus) and uses her to coerce Tony Almeida, having almost lost his his wife to the virus, helps Saunders escape.  Needless to say, Jack sniffs him out like a fart in a car and Tony is charged with treason after he tries helping Saunders get his kid back.  Ultimately, they get Michelle back, catch Saunders, and Jack goes all in to stop Saunders from going any further.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: manufacturing consent – there is nothing the US government won’t do to get what they need when they need it.  They’ll sacrifice their own operatives and officials, allow Americans do be murdered, allow terrorist attacks to happen, even put your daughter into a hotel filled with people infected with an incurable disease.  Because contrary to popular belief, the US government does negotiate with terrorists, often.

Though they have Saunders in custody, the writers just couldn’t resist taking one last stab at a racial stereotype.  Of the 11 other vials of the virus, 10 of the terrorists tasked with dispersing them in various highly populated areas in major cities around the country were captured and the dispersal devices deactivated and secured.  While Saunders was going helping CTU go through numerous photos to identify the last terrorist, Gael Ortega’s wife, Teresa Ortega (Kamala Lopez), who’d come to pick up the rest of her very recently deceased husband’s thing, shot him with Gael’s gun in a fit of mournful rage just before he was able to identify the last terrorist.  Naturally, Jack and Chase caught the guy and took the last vial to a safe bioweapon safe container just in the nick of time.  But not before Jack had to chop Chase’s hand off to make it happen.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype re-enforcement – those hot-blooded Latinas and their wild emotional outbursts, the firecracker hot tamale woman just couldn’t keep herself together and killed the only witness who could identify the last terrorist.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial profiling – Tony Almeida (Latino) turned out to weak of character to the point that he would put American lives at risk just to save his wife.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: war on terror engineering of consent – our guys go all the way, so be thankful that they’d even let each other chop their hands off just to save your American ass and keep you safe, so COUGH UP and don’t complain about astronomical military expenditures on your dime.  Fuck your roads, bridges, school, and infrastructure.

After high jinks and shenanigans that ultimately lead to the death of his ex-wife, President Palmer chooses not to seek re-election.

Jack’s back, and 24’s better than ever for more than a few reason.  Not just because there was no Kim, but in Season 4, as if Sean Callery‘s music wasn’t already some of the best soundtrack music on television, he upped his game and it got better than ever.  Season 4 had the most memorable music of the entire series from Season 1 all the way to the very end, including, 24, The Game, (bet your ass, I had that), 24 – Live Another Day, and 24 – Legacy.  All show quality praise aside, let’s dig in, shall we?

The Pentagon propaganda network never stops, bringing us back from the Season 3 detour that wrapped the war on terror and the war on drugs into a Spicy Diablo Burrito, seasoning a Mexican drug cartel looking to make a buck with a disgruntled ex-intelligence operative threatening to release a bio-weapon that could wipe out the whole country.  Day 4 begins with a train derailment attack that served as cover to steal a briefcase handcuffed to one of the passengers.  Shortly thereafter, we meet a Muslim family, the Araz Family, who fit every frightening stereotype you could ever cook up.  The Araz Family is completely forehead deep in a terrorist act that will “change the world,” and the entire family is involved, the father Navi Araz (Nestor Serrano), his wife Dina (Shohreh Aghdashloo), even their son, Behrooz (Jonathan Ahdout).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement – “terrorists next door” shape American perceptions with a cynically ominous representation of Middle Eastern immigrants, engineering consent for military and intelligence budgets that cut education, while ignoring our national healthcare crisis and crumbling infrastructure.
  • Navi Araz (the father) is cold, cruel, diabolically evil/sinister, an authoritarian father who reads his sons emails and taps his phone calls to keep him from establishing relationships with American girls to get too Americanized, and is willing to murder his own son for disobeying him.
  • Dina Araz (the mother) is a little less cold and sinister, has a certain amount of kindness to her in her appearance, but is still committed enough to the cause to murder her son’s American girlfriend by poisoning her to death.
  • Behrooz Araz (the son) is complicit in working with his parents to commit terrorist atrocities on U.S. soil.  But he’s been too Americanized to commit, and rebels against his parents when he has second thoughts about their cause after they murder his American girlfriend, Debbie.

A friend of Chloe O’Brien‘s, one Andrew Page (Lukas Haas) was stealing code to get free Adobe Creative Suite Software when he comes across code that shows that someone is setting up a major Internet attack, so he calls Chloe and tells her.  Chloe tries to tell her boss, Erin Driscoll (Alberta Watson), but she’s dismissive about it and since Jack just happened to be at CTU to discuss budget issues with Driscoll, whom fired him previously because of his previous heroin addiction, she tells Jack.  When Jack is equally treated dismissively by Driscoll, he does what Jack does best.

It turns out that the train bombing was a diversion from their actual plan to kidnap Jack Bauer‘s new boss (he was fired from CTU by Driscoll for his previous heroin addiction), Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane) and his daughter, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), so he could be put on trial for US Foreign Policy crimes against the Middle East and execute him over an online live-stream, which later turns out to be for a primary objective to make use of the Dobson Override that was stolen in the train derailment and robbery, which gives the user capacity to melt down every nuclear plant in the USA.  Agent Curtis Manning (Roger Cross) interrogates Secretary Heller’s son Richard Heller (Logan Marshall-Green) using non-invasive sensory deprivation interrogation due to his being estranged from his father and was about to go to an anti-military/anti-corporate protest at Lockheed to speak against his father.  Later Curtis brings in Eric Richards (Butch Klein) who’s sole job at CTU is to torture people, but they don’t go all the way with it.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: nuclear terrorism – a device capable of overriding every nuclear facility in the country, the Dobson Override sounds like more than enough to scare the bejezus out of the American people for further justification of bloated military and intelligence budgets that rob your children of a proper education, ignore our crumbling infrastructure, and disregard our national healthcare crisis to further the efforts of geopolitical imperialism in your name.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: enhanced interrogation – torture, in the beginning they use sensory deprivation and describe it as being non-invasive.  S.D. is NOT non invasive as it is still psychological duress, that although physical pain is not actually induced, time and space are distorted and can cause mental breakdown or lead to psychosis.

Meanwhile, as terrorists attempt coercing Secretary Heller into signing a confession for the live-stream trial, Driscoll suggests to the President John Keeler (Geoff Pierson) that he might have to authorize an all out assault that the Secretary might not survive, to protect the country’s image globally.  Jack stages a robbery to stall the terrorist, Kalil Hasan (Anil Kumar), after last-second saving Andrew Page from being executed by his goons just before catching up to him.  But Driscoll shuts Jack down and sics the cops on him before he was able to catch up with Hasan, only to be proven wrong and stuck having to place Jack in command of ground operations anyway.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Manufacturing consent – no video available, but when Secretary Heller tells his daughter about the show-trial for war crimes against the Middle East, she says “that’s ridiculous,” yet in reality it’s the truth.  Unfortunately, most people already made up their minds about the USA being the good guys in all situations, regardless of the policies that create them or the outcomes.

Concurrently, as Secretary Heller and his daughter attempt suicide to avoid being executed live-stream, Marianne Taylor (Aisha Tyler), whom despite Curtis Manning’s warning to Driscoll that her selfish career ambitions could be a problem, was brought aboard anyway, coerces Edgar Stiles (Louis Lombardi) into convincing Driscoll to upgrade her clearance level, giving her unfettered access and Chloe is fired for helping Jack against Driscoll’s orders, but she doesn’t snitch Edgar out.  After a brief altercation, terrorist Hasan deducts that a police interference of an altercation was being handled and martyrs himself before Jack is led to the location Heller & Audrey are being held.

Hemming, hawing, shucking and jiving aboard Air Force One to  debate the potential loss of street cred for the USA if our Sec-Def is publicly executed on American soil, again presenting a preemptive strike to prevent our enemies from making a public spectacle of his death, the president reluctantly agrees.  But Jack goes it alone, as usual, and kills nearly everyone, saving Secretary Heller and his daughter just in time before the missile strike.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: manufacturing consent – during the live-stream war-crimes trial of Heller,“blasphemy” is mentioned, despite that the evangelical apocalyptic death cult is near identical to radical Islam.

• • RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: predictive programming – take note of Secretary Heller’s exact same orange jumpsuit that ISIS hostages wore ten years after.  Same county-jail orange and same headgear worn by the terrorist.  Awfully coincidental for a coincidence.
    

• Side-note: As illustrated throughout this thesis, the time span of predictive programming on 24 works out to 7 – 10 years, roughly.  24 initially aired in November of 2001 and Barack Obama began his term in January, 2009, further uncanny and ominous coincidences will be illustrated as I continue.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: true lies – Audrey makes mention of a co-conspirator she saw in the compound she was held hostage being someone she saw at a Heritage Foundation dinner 2 months prior, a man who turns out to be connected to their theft of the Dobson Override.  There is truth in this, and if you keep your eye on the Heritage Foundation, you’ll see that they’re a Fascist think-tank working against the American public as a whole in favor of privatization of practically everything in our lives, in this particular instance of course, it would be a private sector outsourcing of control of our entire nuclear power grid througout the nation into the hands of a private military corporation such as the fictional company, McClennen Forster in this particular show.

The live-stream trial of Secretary Heller turned out to be a Trojan Horse distraction that gave opportunity for this terrorist network, led by a Habib Warwan (Arnold Vosloo), to use the Dobson Override device to take control of every nuclear power plant in the country.   Edgar Stiles gains a piece of code to shut down the attack on all of them.  Jack and Audrey go to a security company to look at photos to find the guy she saw when she was a hostage only to have Marianne Taylor sell them out to mercenaries who come to kill them.  Tony Almeida just happens to be near enough to save their asses and let them hole up with him at his girlfriend’s house while Edgar works to shut down the reactors at CTU.  Marianne Taylor is quickly flushed out as a mole in no time after she diverts suspicion to Sarah Gavin (Lana Parilla), whom is tortured by Eric Richards before Edgar figures sniffs Taylor out like a fart in a car.  Marianne’s ultimately caught and nearly blown up in her escape attempt.  Her employer, Henry Powell (Robertson Dean), formerly with McClennen Forster, gets sniped dead as he attempts escape.

Concurrently, though Edgar was able to stop most of the reactors from melting down, one went critical in San Gabriel Island, which disturbed him to the point of CTU having to bring Chloe O’Brien back into service later, despite being fired earlier by Driscoll for insubordination.

Admit it, Louis Lombardi was great in this scene.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: engineering consent – to further justify bloated military and intelligence expenditures and further protect concentrated private power by shielding them from accountability for their imperialist ambitions of world domination and wealth extraction, the Pentagon Propaganda arm of the Military Industrial Complex’s entertainment division lets you know that if you don’t okay their bloated budgets, YOUR Mom could very well end up dying of radiation poisoning at the hands of multinational corporate warlords.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement.  Know this, that Middle Eastern terrorists are coming to melt down our reactors, spread viruses, burn, rape, and pillage, so you’d better approve a higher budget and shut your pie-hole about reality or pacifism. 

Behrooz shoots his Dad right as Jack & Tony catch up, and Dina Araz points them to 24878 Alvert Street, in Chatsworth, a house owned by Galaxy Financial Services, and the CFO happens to be Audrey’s estranged husband, Paul Raines (James Frain), whom Jack soon schedules for some shock therapy when he uses the cord of a hotel-room lamp to light his ass up to figure out if he was connected to the terrorists or not.  He wasn’t, but proves helpful later.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture normalization – we see that Bauer tortures a guy whom subsequently helps him and becomes friends with him, further justifying the necessity for torture and a reminder that it’s as just and kosher as Gefilte fish

Marianne Taylor is killed when she attempts helping Curtis at the office she shared with Powell, and Curtis is captured by Forbes (Richard Marcus) but he turns it around and kills 2 men, evading recapture until Jack arrives to back him up just in time to retake the override device so Edgar can stop the meltdowns. Marwan escapes, but his alias of Harris Barnes leads them to McClennen Forster. Paul Raines, whom sold McClennen Forster their IT system, volunteers to help Jack in finding more about Marwan/Barnes. Curtis Manning and Sarah Gavin dig up what that can on Marwan’s alias, but they learn also that McClennen Forster teaches clients how to use the weapons that they sell, mentioning for the third or forth time since Season One, clients in “the Balkans,” which complicates things and it’s suggested that McClennen Forster might not cooperate in order to protect themselves. When Jack and Paul arrive to McClennen Forster, they stonewall the pair and deploy an EMP bomb (Electromagnetic Pulse) to protect themselves and save the company, subsequently sending a team of mercenaries to stop Jack and Paul from escaping with the information they found that could destroy the company, which kills the electricity for an 8 mile radius and causes bedlam throughout the surrounding Downtown Los Angeles area.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: true lies on television – what people don’t seem to realize is that weapons manufacturers are selling to anyone who will buy off of them.  It’s being put out there for you to hear and see point blank, in no uncertain terms.  However, as I stated previously in More On 24’s Salesmanship, to call it out would be to invite oneself to ridicule and satire.  The late CSLA Economics professor and Hoover Institution Fellow, Antony C Sutton, whom since 1992 was the cornerstone of my original research, illustrated brilliantly the manner in which private corporations have been arming our enemies at a breakneck pace first in Western Technology and Soviet Economic Development, then in several subsequent works. After a firefight with mercenaries, Paul Raines is shot and as Jack choppers with him back to CTU for medical treatment, President Keeler discusses the possibility of declaring martial law to deal with civil unrest with Secretary Heller. Meanwhile, Marwan’s next plan is already being implemented, by holding an Air Force pilot’s family hostage, a disgruntled ex-military mercenary Mitch Anderson (Ned Vaughn) infiltrates an Air Force base to steal a stealth bomber. Using her son Behrooz as leverage, Jack convinces Dina Araz to go to one Joseph Fayed (Adam Alexi-Malle) offering Jack as a hostage to find Marwan, but their plan backfires when Marwan’s people intercept them and Fayed blows himself up.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: negotiating with terrorists – though the USA is known around the world of a policy stating “the United States doesn’t negotiate with terrorists,” in reality the United States does negotiate with terrorists, frequently in fact.
  • Iran Contra Affair is just one of the more famous, yet often ignored instances.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: true lies on television – though it’s vaguely spoken of here and there, PMC/Mercenary Entrepreneurship is a growth industry in the USA and abroad.

Marwan wastes their time with misdirection over Behrooz Araz’s importance to their operations by offering to give Jack back to CTU in exchange for Behrooz, giving Anderson enough time to steal the Stealth Fighter. Bill Buchanan (James Morrison) is brought in by Division just before the exchange where Behrooz is micro-chipped, but Marwan’s men find it right away and evade capture once again despite Jack’s smart move whilst held captive. Subsequently led to Anderson’s home, Jack retrieves a hard-drive but he’s immediately diverted to a priority retrieval of the nuclear football after Anderson shoots down Air Force One. A couple on a camping trip find it and call to report it and Jack tells them to separate the football and the playbook, but Marwan catches the husband and tortures him to flush out the wife, making off with some pages of the nuke footbal playbook (the ones that give warhead locations and activation codes) before Jack can reach them.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: torture normalization – since they do it to not just our operatives but to our civilians, you’d better give your consent to enhanced interrogation/torture and start coughing up your tax dollars for more war, torture, and neocolonial imperialism, so fuck your schools, roads, and bridges.

A careless mistake by Marwan’s man, Yosik Khatami (Nicholas Guilak), leads CTU to Joe Prado‘s (John Thaddeus) boat in Marina Del Rey. Marwan overhead it from Yosik’s phone and preemptively contacted Amnesty Global who sent lawyer David Weiss (Evan Handler) on the precipice that CTU was about to torture and innocent man. When Jack shows up to learn that Amnesty Global was already on-site prohibiting any interrogation from happening, after some debate between Jack, the lawyer, the newly sworn in President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin), and Mike Novick (Jude Ciccolella), it’s decided that their hands are tied. So Jack convinces Bill Buchanan to accept his resignation and release Prado so he could interrogate him as a private citizen. Jack subsequently breaks his fingers to get him to talk.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: manufacturing consent – some hemming, hawing, shucking, and jiving between Bauer and the smarmiest lawyer Central Casting could muster, the president, his Chief of Staff, and Special Advisor is debated to remind the American people that terrorism provides extraordinary circumstances in which the Constitution could and should be completely sidestepped or relegated wholly negligible to “protect millions of American lives” from terrorism in all its forms or circumstantial situations.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture normalization – Jack breaks Joe Prado’s fingers to soften him up and it helps save millions of American lives. It has to be done or the terrorists win. If you’ve paid close enough attention to this show thus far, you can see this as a pattern each and every time torture is engaged in by our operatives. In this instance, it’s shown that our government’s hands are tied and they were unwilling to do so, so Jack took it upon himself to do so.

Meawhile, Illinois domestic terrorists/mercenaries prepare a hijacked nuclear warhead while Sabir Ardakani (Kris Iyer) worked with Robert Morrison (Keith Szarabajka) to reconfigure compatibility for the warhead and the missile. Sabir’s girlfriend in Los Feliz, Nabila Al-Jamil (Lina Patel) keeps calling and bugging him, suspicious that he might be involved with the day’s events. She calls it in and the call is sent to Chloe, and Nabila says she found the schematic for a microchip, the type of which she has never seen before. Downtown at a nightclub, Jack is set to take Marwan down, but White House Presidential ego interferes and the operation is awash, allowing Marwan’s escape.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – they’re not being dishonest in their dialogue. This is reality, and they’re giving it right to you on prime time network television. They’re telling you outright on the telly that you’re ignorant and it isn’t a lie. Back to my joke, “if you ever wanted to know what the Anglo American Establishment is really up to, just watch 24, they’ll tell you outright.”

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – this clip comes right out with what the writers and producers already actually know to be truthful in the fact that it is our geopolitical policies of imperialist interventionism that is the actual “why” behind why numerous people around the globe hate the USA, not our freedoms that are eroding on a moment to moment basis.

This could also be categorized as true lies on television, as one famous incident demonstrated in 1980’s Desert One Debacle. SEAL Team 6 Founder, Dick Marcinko wrote very clearly about this in his autobiography, Rogue Warrior, that a lot of ego and ineptitude played a heavy role in the incident that cost President Carter not only the 1980 reelection, but “America’s elite rescue force had lost eight men, seven helicopters, and a C-130, and had not even made contact with the enemy. It was a debacle. It defined the word “debacle.”“

Morrison doesn’t trust Sabir’s girlfriend and handles it when Marwan tells him to let him know when it’s done. Chloe O’Brien fills Bill and Tony in on everything Nabila told her, stating that the files are locked and they need a specialist to go to her home to unlock them. But since Chloe’s the only one who can do it, Buchanan dispatches her with a team (2 field agents) to get it done, but Morrison’s man shows up to do them.

Experienced Former President David Palmer is brought in to assist the egotistically inept new President with the situation. Chloe’s assistance in the matter of the locked files led to one Lee Jong (Peter Chen) a Chinese national who worked on the Chinese nuclear weapons program before being fired for falsifying research data, whom took refuge at the Chinese Consulate when things got heated after his freelance work for Marwan. However, when Former President Palmer calls the Chinese Consulate about Lee Jong, Chinese Consul Koo Yin (Francois Chau) promised to do what he could but that it would take hours for anything to happen. In precaution of a slow response, Palmer had Bauer set up a position near the Consulate and sanctions a botched non-lethal force snatch & grab of Lee Jong that gets Consul Koo Yin by his own people. Lee was also shot in the process and demands immunity for cooperation. Unfortunately, when Jack arrives with Lee Jong, he force interrupts Paul Raines’ surgery and Raines dies in the process.

Immediately thereafter, Chinese Consulate Head of Security, Cheng Zhi (Tzi Ma), comes to CTU looking for answers, only to be stonewalled to protect the United States from an international incident, leaving Cheng wholly unconvinced. Lee Jong’s information proves valuable and leads Bauer to Marwan’s location, but Marwan has already initiated a launch sequence that they’re helpless to do anything but watch a live feed of a nuclear tipped cruise missile launching. Just as Jack and Curtis are about to transport Marwan back to CTU, they’re ambushed by an RPG launched at at one of their vehicles and Marwan is rescued by his people.

At CTU, they find that Secretary Heller’s son, Richard’s phone was used to call Marwan. Before they get around to torturing him he confesses having had sex with a man he took him with him and that his girlfriend must’ve used his phone while they were in his bed. Richar Heller’s description of the guy (Jake Muxworthy) he had sex with leads Jack and Tony to Mercerwood Apartments, where Mandy (Mia Kirshner), whom quickly becomes aware of the situation and kills him. She then goes to a neighbor’s apartment, killing one of them and holding the other two hostage while she plots her escape, taking Tony Almeida hostage along the way. Mandy then contacts Michelle Dessler to use him as leverage and fake her own death by using her neighbors as decoys and then blowing them up in their car. CTU informs the White House and they begin discussing declaring Martial Law.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: manufacturing consent – multiple times throughout the series, martial law is either debated or ordered, and given the salesmanship of this show for the war on terror, the American psyche is consistently being not just fear but acquiescence to further erosion of American civil liberties in the name of national security or protecting American lives.

Jack figures out the ruse fairly quickly and when he catches up with them, she lands an immunity deal from President Palmer, whom she’d previously poisoned at the last moment of Day 2. She gives up Marwan’s location and he commits suicide, but they stop the missile and save the day. But in order to cover his own ass, Logan turns a blind eye to his Chief of Staff, Walt Cummings (John Allen Nelson) sanctioning the murder of Jack Bauer in order to protect the country from the apprehension of a high value prisoner that Bauer could be. Former President David Palmer warns him in advance and Tony, Chloe, and Michelle fake his death and send him on his way. Jack says his last goodbye to the Former President and walks off into the sunrise.

Season 4, was my favorite before they jumped the shark, but it was Season 5 that got me thinking that my joke might not be a joke at all. For the newbies…

Season 5 was ranked as the best season of 24, even though I personally liked Season 7 the most because it had my tinfoil hat full kablooie.

The season starts with Jack Bauer trying to get get morning show-up labor work at a Mojave oil field under the alias Frank Flynn. Immediately, Former President David Palmer is assassinated by a sniper at his brother, Wayne Palmer‘s apartment, and CTU Los Angeles is put on a Level 5 Protocol right away, with added pressure from President Charles Logan to arrest or kill the assassin right away before the Russian President Yuri Suvarov (Nick Jameson) and his delegation arrive to sign an administration defining anti-terrorism treaty, until…

Jack’s breakfast with his landlady/lady-friend Diane Huxley (Connie Britton) and her son Derek (Brady Corbet) is interrupted when Chloe O’Brian, fresh from a mistaken one-night stand with a co-worker, Spenser Wolff (Jonah Lotan) calls to tell him that not only was Former President David Palmer assassinated but that Tony Almeida and Michelle Dessler were bombed and she might be being followed. Jack jumps into action, steals a helicopter, stuck dragging a nosy Derek Huxley along to take Chloe to safety when Palmer’s sniper, Conrad Haas (Jeff Kober) and his mercenaries arrive.

A doctored video leaves CTU operating under the assumption that Jack killed Former President Palmer. President Logan’s wife, Martha (Jean Smart) unsuccessfully attempts convincing her husband, Charles, conspiracy is afoot, which is true, but she gets gas-lighted. Meanwhile, after some audacious sneaking around at Wayne Palmer’s FBI & LAPD infested residence, Jack obtains encrypted information in David Palmer’s memoirs that lead to the Ontario Airport, but Chloe is caught as Jack escapes with Derek Huxley. Right after Jack passes Derek off to his mother, Diane, her son spots some shady looking men and goes after Jack. Jack catches a Russian, Chevensky (Taras Los) the information led him to and he cyanide capsules himself to death just seconds after heavily armed terrorists wearing bomb-vests detonate some bombs and take over an entire terminal, taking hostages. We learn that White House Chief of Staff, Walt Cummings is working with the shadowy figure James Nathanson (Geraint Wyn Davies) orchestrating everything.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – false flag operations and the art of plausible deniability. As we see, White House Chief of Staff, Walt Cummings is forehead deep in a terrorist operation on American soil that involves taking an entire terminal hostage and murdering innocent people. This gives a nice dose of plausible deniability for the President of the United State, and it’s something that is discussed in the show more than once for various reasons, to protect the president. Plot thickens…

After some CTU shenanigans involving the White House sending the bumbling incompetent hubris heavy halfwit, Lynn McGill (Sean Astin) from Division to take point, Jack convinces CTU from inside the airport that he didn’t kill Palmer and manages to save the morning despite all the shucking and jiving from the White House. But we quickly learn that the Dawn Brigade attack, led by Anton Beresch (David Dayan Fisher) was to cover up Ivan Erwich‘s (Mark Sheppard) theft of a cache of secretly stored Sentox VX-1 Nerve Gas canisters that were hidden in a bunker under an adjacent hanger onsite being monitored by cyanide chomping Chevensky. After Erwich makes off with the Sentox canisters in a S.W.A.T. truck, meeting Schaeffer (Timothy V Murphy), whom takes transport of the canisters, guaranteeing customs paperwork being finalized at the port. We learn that Erwich plans to use the canisters on Moscow in retaliation for Russian occupation of his homeland. Walt Cummings assures Nathanson that Bauer will be handled when he arrives at CTU, wrapping things up to assure success of their mission.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: plausible deniability – just a quick reminder that at any time any of our operatives could be designated expendable in order to maintain a level of plausible deniability or operational integrity, and since the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing all the time, it could be anyone. It could also be justified, depending upon how you look at things.

We discovered just before the assassination attempt on Jack Bauer by Hank (Robert Rusler) that the White House Chief of Staff could easily place a mole within any government agency without anyone knowing about it, but Spenser squeals without resistance. Jack heads to the Presidential retreat outside L.A. to give Walt Cummings a good seeing to and Erwich catches Schaeffer tampering with the canisters at the Port of Los Angeles and sees to him. But Cummings fesses up to the President before Bauer even gets to them, telling him that it was all about providing a smoking gun of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Central Asia and guaranteeing the flow of oil for a generation and pretext to increased military presence in the area.

Ivan Erwich hooks up with a shady engineer, Jacob Rossler (Patrick Bauchau) willing to reconfigure a remote trigger for an Sentox chemical delivery system. CTU finds this out and sends Jack with a tactical team and he find him with a teenage sex slave Inessa Kovalevsky (Angela Sarafyan), but he’s wholly unwilling to help CTU unless they give him full immunity and he gets to keep Inessa. Lynn McGill is unwilling to listen to Jack and tells him to take the deal, so the moment she gets a chance, she kills Rossler with one of his own guns.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – again, over and over in fact, the “the United States doesn’t negotiate with terrorists” line is just a crock of shit and wholly untrue. We have, do, and will continue to negotiate with terrorists, if not team up with them directly if it suits our interests at any given moment.

Look, this is something that is going on and has been going on for an extraordinarily long time. The recent Epstein kerfuffle barely scratches the surface. Walt Cummings appears to hang himself (the White House chooses to cover it up of course ) just before Lynn McGill gets rolled for his CTU access card by his junkie sister and her dope-fiend boyfriend. Ivan Erwich gets his canisters prepped for Rossler, killing the unlucky guy he coerced into precision cutting them open for him. With Rossler dead, Jack is able to meet up with Erwich’s people posing as him. Under Chloe’s guidance, he is able to reconfigure the chip and Erwich’s men force him to come along to a shopping mall so they can disperse the nerve gas to makes sure the triggering mechanisms work.

Despite saving numerous lives and managing to follow Erwich’s man, he commited suicide to avoid capture and interrogation, leaving CTU with nothing. Erwich confirms with his financier and leader, Vladimir Bierko (Julian Sands), that the Sentox gas was genuine. But Bierko, upset that Erwich wasted time and resources on killing American civilians to make a point rather than attacking Moscow, kills Erwich by stabbing him with a knife. He decides it best to kill Nathanson and refocus on using the canisters on Russia. Nathanson contacts Jack Bauer, seeking protection from others within the government involved in this conspiracy.

Concurrently to this, Vladimir Bierko was already coercing President Logan to provide the itinerary for Russian President Suvarov so that Bierko’s soldiers could ambush them. Logan’s wife tried talking him out of letting him have it, but he acquiesced and she tagged along for the ride in hopes that he would stop it, but he didn’t. Meanwhile, Chloe had tracked a company called Terra-Dyne, which had amassed a large stockpile of strontium isotope, which is used in the manufacture of Sentox nerve gas as part of the Sentox Project for their parent company, Omicron International, a major defense contractor who manufactured Sentox for the Department of Defense. Jack right away asks about a man named Christopher Henderson (Peter Weller) whom was unnamed but vaguely referenced as a corrupt CTU operative back in Season One, happens to be a Senior Vice President of Omicron. Though he was never indicted, Henderson, whom was the individual that originally recruited Jack to CTU, was implicated in the sale of classified intelligence to defense contractors.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – Noam Chomsky often discusses public perception of government vs concentrated private power. Whilst the people continue fighting over a not so subtle fake narrative of a left vs right ideological struggle within our government, the private sector continues their encroachment at every level of our government. Weapons manufacturers of every variety whom receive billions in public funding to subsidize their risk (R&D) are spending almost as much as they receive for free from you and me to avoid paying taxes back into the system that shielded them from the free market. Yet, they still continue selling to other players around the globe in the so-called free market, which isn’t actually free when you protect them from it and they still sell to our enemies. While Americans are bickering over capitalism and socialism, the difference between the national interest and special interest gets hazier and hazier. However, when you realize that weapons manufactures are officially part of the “national interest,” and schools, roads, bridges, women and minority groups, the elderly, etc., are considered “special interest,” concepts of what’s vaguely known as national socialism truly is can become clearer. Maybe if Americans evict those stupid swastikas from their creativity bereft imaginations, we might be able to stop our constitutional republic from becoming an unaccountably brutal corporatocracy without a face and a regenerative head. I don’t blame you, dear reader. This comes from decades of well funded think tank social engineering.

Jack, with the help of Chloe O’Brien and Audrey Raines makes his way into Omicron to question Henderson, but Henderson plays it off well, says he’s going to get help from I.T., as Lynn McGill has a meltdown at CTU, having already fired or placed half his best staff in holding. Curtis relieves McGill of his command when he steps over the line. Meanwhile, as Logan prays for his wife to survive Bierko’s attack, Jack realizes he’s not as smart as he thought and just might be losing his touch.

CTU’s last second intervention doesn’t stop the attack on the Suvarov’s motorcade. But after his wife and the Suvarovs survive the attack, Martha informs Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower) that President Logan knew it was going to happen and didn’t stop it. Jack Bauer, bee-lines straight over to Christopher Henderson’s home to say hello to Mrs Henderson. Curtis takes point when data comes in that a hospital is about to be hit with a nerve gas canister and begins evacuation procedures moments before CTU figures out a billionaire radical post Soviet Era terrorist named Vladimir Bierko even exists. Curtis shoots the baddie, locating the armed canister just as Henderson gets home, removing it from the building just in time shortly thereafter.

Jack brings Henderson back to CTU for interrogation, having already asked Audrey Raines to bring his daughter, Kim (heavy sigh) in so he can hopefully see her to let her know he isn’t dead, which doesn’t quite work out for him. They go right to work on Christopher Henderson through the use of pharmaceutical interrogation to attack his nervous system by sending pain throughout his body. When Bill Buchanan informs McGill that his junkie sister was found murdered, and when he blames her boyfriend, Buchanan informs him that they killed by a professional and finally he lets it out that he got rolled, but it was too late.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: torture normalization – if you were paying close enough attention, all those computer nerds at CTU were listening in to the whole kerfuffle without remark or judgment when Jack shot Mrs Henderson in the leg. Christopher Henderson was “willing to endure a tremendous amount of pain” to protect someone, even letting his wife get shot in the leg for it. However, the American mind is desensitized just a little bit more towards apathetic amoralism. The urgency of the situation also adds to the social engineering mechanism that is counterterror entertainment television. (A.K.A. torture porn)

With 40% of their personnel killed by the nerve gas, (Edgar dying choked me up) Karen Hayes (Jayne Atkinson) at Homeland Security suggests personally overseeing an emergency restructuring. POTUS & Vice-POTUS discuss implementing martial law to stop the terrorists. Needless to say, Jack, Chloe, and Buchanan get everything handled just before Tony, grieving from the death of his wife, tries killing Christopher Henderson but he was faking his coma and sticks Tony with a needle of something or another and escapes as Tony dies in Jack’s arms. But Jack learns that Chloe scored information about an information broker who works freelance named Collette Stenger (Stana Katic) whom is connected to Bierko. Subsequently thereafter, President Logan declares martial law and implements a military enforced curfew in the Los Angeles area despite his wife’s suspicions that the VP is setting him up to take a political fall. When Karen Hayes and her mincing sidekick Miles Papazian (Stephen Spinella) arrive to CTU, it’s hardly a smooth transition.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: crisis normalization – I could be reaching here, but multiple times this show pushes the idea of the necessity of implementing martial law, only this season is the first time it’s actually done and enforced by the military. Television programming is a subtle method of softening the minds of people. One could even go so far as to consider it a mechanism of psychological warfare. In the USA, psychological warfare is not necessarily limited to military conflicts. Engineering of public opinion is as old as commercial advertising itself, older perhaps.
  • Obfuscation – Here’s the thing, and this is just me talking. The VP often moves in the shadows and you never really know what he’s up to. Did you really think George W Bush was in charge? What about Ronald Reagan? Did you think he was in charge? Cheney ran W and HW ran Reagan. Just saying. *** ALERT — SPOILER HEAVEN***Jack offers Theo Stoller (Henry Ian Cusick), a German Intelligence agent gathering intelligence on Collette’s clients, the WET List when he refuses to cooperate with CTU in the apprehension of Stenger, whom just sold Bierko some schematics, which upset everyone at CTU/DHS and gets Chloe in a heap of trouble. But they breathe easy again when Jack fuck’s Stoller and it self destructs on him before he can use it. Collette Stenger demands an immunity deal for her cooperation and the moment she gets it confirmed by her attorney she gives them an address to a safe house, naming Audrey Raines as her D.O.D. contact who sold her the schematics. Jack interrogates her, but not hard enough by Karen Hayes’s opinion and standard, so she sends in Rick Burke (Martin Papazian) to interrogate Audrey, but Jack gets Stenger to confess to lying after finding her connection to Henderson and it’s stopped.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – The above scene is important, and to be understood you must understand that after WWII, whatever you think you know about the aftermath is likely untrue. Understand that it was a Nazis who were part of the formation of the CIA, and we allow their operatives to ply their trade here on our own soil. Collette Stanger is also another reality, one I am personally familiar with on more than one occasion. Understand that after the Cold War, there are numerous operatives whom were once working for the German government whom operate as freelance information brokers to this very day, holding many connections within our own private defense sector and selling information obtained by having sexual relations with various people holding security clearances. Wayne Palmer goes to meet Aaron Pierce at the Presidential retreat but is ran off the road and pursued by Henderson’s mercenaries while Bierko and his mercenaries make their way into the Gas Company to launch a large scale nerve gas attack. Pierce finds Wayne Palmer on the grounds of the retreat, helping him evade pursing mercenaries. Concurrently, Jack and Curtis get to the Gas Company, shoot it out with Bierko’s mercenaries just as Bierko releases the gas into the main distribution tank. Jack blows it all up and catches Bierko (exciting show, huh?), barely avoiding getting the both of them blown up along with everything else. (yeah, I know, but that’s why they call it the suspension of disbelief)

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: war on terror salesmanship – visualization of several canisters of Sentox nerve gas being released into the main distribution tank of the gas company, regardless of the excitement of seeing Keifer Sutherland kicking ass and killing tangos, imprints an unforgettable image on the American psyche of the possibility of nerve gas pouring into American households while their children are sleeping. It also aids in the social engineering of American minds to sow seeds of fear of the other. This manufactures consent for more cuts to schools, social programs, roads & bridges, to be rerouted to counter terror operations, bloated military budgets, more militarized police, and of course because I forgot to mention it, more prisons.

Vice President Hal Gardner (Ray Wise) pushes Karen Hayes to be more aggressive in rolling CTU into DHS and mincing Miles suggests using Audrey Raines to help them do it. Wayne and Aaron Pierce make it back to the Presidential retreat and Wayne Palmer confronts Personal Aid to First Lady Martha Logan Evelyn Martin (Sandrine Holt) about emails she had sent to the late Former President Palmer that may have led to his assassination, but she refuses to cooperate because her daughter is under threat and in their custody. She has proof of who is behind everything, but won’t help unless he can get her daughter back for her. Wayne calls Jack in on it and when he speaks to Audrey, he becomes suspicious that the VP Gardner may be the one that Henderson was protecting when they were torturing him earlier, and goes together with Wayne to take her back and when take her back, Evelyn Martin dispels any notion of VP Gardner having anything to do with anything.

Season 5/Day 5 spilled beans and let cats out of bags so they could spray their stench all over the place. After stashing Evelyn Martin in a motel room, Jack and Wayne kidnap a bank manager from his home and use him to get into a bank where she stashed a recording of President Logan and Christopher Henderson. Logan had already put out an APB on Jack and they end up getting the poor guy killed on their way out of the bank in a firefight with authorities seeking to apprehend him. Meanwhile, Henderson snatches up Evelyn Martin and her daughter from the motel after her kid panicked and called an ambulance. Bauer gets away with Wayne Palmer and the recording but since he knows Audrey could be being followed, he enlists the freshly fired Bill Buchanan to assist. He escorts Wayne Palmer to safety while Jack rendezvous with Audrey and her father Defense Secretary Heller to handover the recording to him, but Heller screws him.

Things start getting sketchy at this point because the POTUS becomes increasingly suspicious looking to just about everyone. His defensive disposition makes him look strange to Mike Novick, and Aaron Pierce already knows that Logan was responsible for the assassination of David Palmer, whom he respected deeply. Chloe snatches mincing Miles’s access card and scampers off just before Henderson retrieves the recording from Jack and Audrey. Meanwhile, sellout Secretary Heller shows up at the POTUS retreat and attempts pressing Logan into quiet resignation, but it doesn’t quite work out the way he thought it would and he ends up driving his car off a cliff to keep himself from being used as Logan and Henderson’s pawn. Curtis ends up saving Audrey and apprehending Henderson anyway, despite his mercenaries coming in to scoop him up after Jack takes off to chase after Henderson’s guy.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – something I’ve been saying for years to just about anyone who would listen is that government isn’t the actual power. Government isn’t the substance, they’re the shadow cast over the public by big business. Circles of concentrated private power are able to use think-tanks and Public Action Committees to wield more power and influence over public institutions, our government, our military, and our intelligence services. Every war that has ever been fought in the past century was a private war because contrary to your high school history class, history is not war. History is finance, war is merely the side-effect of the amalgamation, consolidation, and privatization of territory and resources by concentrated private power.

By this point, the First Lady knows everything from the President Logan’s own word. Jack sneaks onto a diplomatic flight to intercept the recording while mincing Miles gets off on overseeing the pursuit Bauer, ruining Chloe and Buchanan. Karen Hayes is suspicious enough to bend Mike Novick’s ear over President Logan’s personal oversight of pursuit of Jack Bauer on unseen spurious evidence that he was involved in killing Palmer even though he was already cleared and the crisis already averted. Bill Buchanan is arrested and placed into holding so him and Karen could allow Chloe to escape and continue helping Bauer. Mincing Miles is suspicious of all of this because Karen Hayes appears to be leaving him out of the loop, so he calls Mike Novick, who blows him off. Mike Novick presses President Logan on the issue regarding Jack Bauer, but Logan dismisses it altogether. Bauer ends up commandeering the plane, intercepting the recording from the co-pilot working for Henderson.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – on this particular drama, they’re pretty honest and straightforward in regards to the fact that private sector groups and business interests manipulate and control political figures and institutions, yet the do tend to distance them from the intelligence services as a whole. I’ve personally known extremely wealthy individuals with fast phone call connections to intelligence contacts as well as the Carlyle Group. This is a reality that this show does seem to distance itself from, yet at the same not, not much of a distance. But it felt like something worthy of contemplation, so I thought I’d mention it.

Mincing Miles becomes doubly suspicious when Karen Hayes brings Buchanan out from holding to help Bauer bring the recording in to CTU. Mike Novick receives the distress signal and the POTUS goes full Meryl Streep to hem and haw over the ethics of shooting him down, shooting Novick down when he tries to talk him out of it. Buchanan gets him coordinates to the 118FWY and they level off at the last second when a fighter jet had them in missile lock, landing just in time for Curtis to take Jack back to CTU, barely slipping through the Marine battalions surrounding the cordoned perimeter. Karen Hayes makes a grievous error of judgement in bringing mincing Miles up to speed on everything.

Vladimir Bierko is transferred to CTU’s primary holding facility and busted out by his soldiers. They immediately start moving on his next plan by the time CTU gets word of their vehicles being hit by an IED. President Logan attempts coaxing Agent Pierce into playing his game but patriot Pierce will have no part of it, leaving Logan no choice but to give another Secret Service agent the nod to kill him. Meanwhile, Bauer has no choice but to team up with Henderson to pursue and re-apprehend Vladimir Bierko before he can instigate another terror attack. Henderson convinces CTU to let him go in to deal with an arms dealer named Joseph Malina (Jose Zuñiga) who can help them find Bierko. Jack argues against them on this, but they do it anyway. The First Lady foils Pierce’s imminent execution, giving him just enough distraction to save himself. In Downtown L.A., Henderson convinces Jack and Curtis to let him go in alone to meet with Malina, where he gives him the heads up that Jack and Curtis are coming for him, telling him to purge all of his files. Despite Bauer’s disbelief of Henderson’s dubious explanation that he was bamboozling Malina to putting his important files on a flash drive to make it easier for them, Chloe quickly got schematics for a Russian submarine that was in dock scheduled for US Naval inspection that was part of Logan’s earlier Russian treaty, which called for the sharing of technology. Henderson’s knowledge of Russian subs of that class give Jack the idea of taking him with them to the Port of Los Angeles.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: fear peddling – the overall goal of shows like this is to engineer consent of the American psyche to overlook the shrinking budgets for public education, roads, bridges, environmental protection and cleanup, and a right and proper healthcare system and dismiss the ever growing budgets for military expenditures, wars of aggression (imperialist expansion and empire building), and clandestine operations abroad, as well as to engineer a public willingness to sacrifice our civil liberties and right to privacy all in the name of national security and protecting American lives. However, when you also pay closer attention to the fact that they’re telling you flat out that private sector business interests who profit off of war, clandestine operations, weapons manufacturing and procurement, as well as oil, energy, and various other corporate interests are all too willing to orchestrate such schemes in order to profit and/or change society to fit their interests and protect themselves from YOU, you really should take everything you’re told on television in fiction or news with skepticism.

Needless to say, Jack and his team manage to stop Bierko and his terrorist crew from launching 12 multiple warhead missiles, just in the nick of time thanks to a lone surviving U.S. Naval Petty Officer’s help. They kill Bierko and his men and Christopher Henderson manages to shut down the missile launch sequence within the last 10 seconds, just before Jack breaks Bierko’s neck. The F-18s are recalled and Jack goes looking for Henderson, killing him in revenge for the assassination of David Palmer, Tony Almeida, and Michelle Dessler. Jack then recruits Chloe O’Brian, Aaron Pierce, and Mike Novick to help him take down President Logan. Chloe brings in her ex-husband, Oxford and MIT dropout and Saks Fifth Avenue shoe salesman, Morris O’Brian (Carlo Rota), whom happens to be a gifted systems analyst, to try and reconstruct the recording destroyed by Miles Papazian earlier. Meanwhile, as Jack and Aaron Pierce are working to get Jack where he needs to be, Mike Novick tries to delay the President, First Lady Martha Logan runs interference by seducing her husband, who tells the helicopter to standby. After they get their freak on, Jack infiltrates his way onto the helicopter and kidnaps President Logan in an attempt to coerce a confession out of him. But though he wasn’t able to do so, Logan just couldn’t help himself. His wife couldn’t resist crying and going into hysterics when they carried the late Former President David Palmer’s casket from the helicopter.

So in the end the President of the United States was escorted away, sure. Jack Bauer and Audrey Raines have their little moment of reconciliation. Bill Buchanan ends up asking Karen Hayes, who’d originally come gunning for his job, out for breakfast and gets a rain-check. Chloe gets a kudos from Bill, with a memento photo of her and Edgar that he found among his personal effects that he thought she should have and even left with her deeply caring and sympathetic ex husband.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: – true lies on television – All’s well that ends well, but let’s talk turkey here. Do you honestly believe that in the real world that regardless of what a POTUS ever does, that he’s going to end up in shackles, an orange jump suit, breaking big rocks into little rocks, pressing license plates, or working in a field and calling the hacks “Boss”?? Think on just how many delusional Americans actually believe that even if Donald J Trump is found guilty of high treason, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and lying to the sheriff, that he won’t get a piecemeal house arrest sentence and be right back to going to cocktail parties and grabbing young women by their how-do-ya-dos in less than 4 years. Yeah, sure, they’ve got their all’s well that ends well Season 5/Day 5 ending, or do they?

Previously on 24, Season 5, my joke became a thesis on 24 being a mechanism for not just selling the War On Terror, but normalizing torture, crisis normalization, as well a means of disseminating truthful information through fictional programming. At risk of redundancy, you are being lied to 24/7 – 365 on every news outlet in all 50 states and beyond. But you are being given tiny portions of truthful information through fiction for purposes of acclimating not just the American mind but minds around the globe. This way, if the actual truth comes out, the shock is diminished. Call them out on it and you’ve simply watched too much television and have become disconnected from reality.

Season 6 of 24, however, was the least popular season of the entire series. Observe below…

All jokes aside, let’s dive right in. After a Russian separatist break from the Islamic Terrorism narrative in Day 5, Season 6 spreads it on pretty thick. At 0600 we see a news report of numerous terror attacks nationwide, creating fear and suspicion of all Muslims across America. After a brown skinned man is rejected by a bus driver, a different guy already aboard detonates a bomb, killing everybody. Homeland Security Secretary Karen Hayes and White House Chief of Staff Tom Lennox (Peter MacNicol) argue over the ethics of choosing security over liberty to protect American lives before President Wayne Palmer

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: manufacturing consent – since before 9/11, even before the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, Americans pretty much viewed terrorism as a foreign phenomenon. But the Oklahoma City Bombing, “terror in the heartland” brought about the Comprehensive Terrorism Prevention Act of 1995, and Americans started slipping down the slope. But because it was some militia “patriot movement” white boys, it still didn’t quite have the oomph that 9/11 offered, giving the military and security industrial complex the green light for a thorough militarization of our entire nation’s police forces, effectively turning them into an occupation force of our very own kin on our very own soil.

Back at CTU, former lower level analyst, Milo Pressman (Eric Balfour) in charge mid-level. Chloe O’Brian whom recently got reunited ex-husband, Morris O’Brian a job at CTU, learns that Jack Bauer had been released from the Chinese prison.

As you may recall in Day 3, Jack Bauer was compelled to execute a senior colleague, Ryan Chappelle, whom was sacrificed by President David Palmer to buy more time to hold off Stephen Saunders from staging more attacks. This time, President Wayne Palmer is sacrificing Jack Bauer to placate a terrorist named Abu Fayed (Adoni Maropis) over Jack’s torturing his terrorist brother to death in Beirut, having already given $25,000,000, to stop another terrorist, Hamri Al-Assad (Alexander Siddig) from orchestrating more suicide bombings. Plenty of demurring and equivocating happens in the White House over it. It’s not about right or wrong, but what’s necessary to “protect Americans,” effectively winning all arguments in this crisis normalization mechanism called 24. The moment Tom Lennox steps out of the Oval Office, Karen Hayes confronts him about the detention centers he set up around the country, utilizing sports arenas and the like, claiming he didn’t implement them, merely positioned them in case the president changes his mind.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: true lies on television – Again, though we tell the world that the USA doesn’t negotiate with terrorists, we do. Not only do we negotiate with terrorists, we’ve traded prisoners with them, releasing dangerous extremists in quid pro quo deals. We’d funded and trained terrorists through the Cold War and beyond up to today. ISIS and Al Qaeda are our enemies when we need an Emmanuel Goldstein to scare people. But “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is an ancient proverb that actually comes from the Arthashastra, (often translated as the “science of politics”), an ancient Indian treatise on the art of statecraft.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: predictive programming – you already knew about them, I’m sure. Detention centers have been around since the 1800s in case you were unaware. However, they were largely kept out of the public view and away from scrutiny. Allegedly, we became more enlightened on the issue, but not really. 2 years after the McCarren-Walter Act of 1952, “Operation Wetback” was implemented, deporting 1.1 million undocumented immigrants. Mind you, I’m referring to immigrant detention. But do you or do you not recall President Trump using terrorists hiding within the migrant “caravan” as his excuse? He tried the human trafficking angle as well. Either way, all this came to pass about a decade after Day-6 aired. The disturbing part of it all is that such behavior and action has already become normalized.

In a local L.A. neighborhood, the Wallace family observes a Muslim neighbor snatched up by the Feds as his son, Ahmed Amar (Kal Penn) protests the arrest of his innocent father. A MAGA guy from up the block harasses Ahmed when Ray Wallace (Raphael Sbarge) intervenes, telling him to come stay with them awhile. Meanwhile at CTU, Morris and Chloe access an illegal Uzbekistani satellite because Fayed knew all of CTU’s surveillance protocols, but Buchanan catches them and shuts them down.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: engineering consent – subtle repetition of terror threats and crisis normalization paves the way for people to accept sacrificing their liberty and freedom as an acceptable price to make white people feel safe. However, the insidious way the writers hem and haw at the idea of shredding the constitution in the name of “national security” is far more dangerous to our individual liberty than you might realize.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: torture normalization – just a not so subtle reminder that they do it too. The typical 24 torture pattern is that we do it to get actionable intelligence because so-and-so has a bomb, a chemical, biological, or radiological weapon (dirty bomb), or nuke. Then they’ll show one of our guys getting tortured by the baddies, wash, rinse, and repeat.

After Abu Fayed tells him that Assad isn’t behind the attacks, but wants to give up terrorism altogether, stating that he’ll die for nothing, Jack escapes. He calls CTU to stop an airstrike on the location Fayed gave them, but they don’t listen. But Jack gets there just in time to save Assad from an Apache helicopter launched missile strike.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: engineering consent – I don’t think I’m reaching here, but eventually the chickens are coming home to roost. If missile and drone strikes are already normalized as part of implemented policy to take out terrorists abroad, what’s to stop them from being implemented domestically?

Sandra Palmer (Regina King) talks slippery slopes with her POTUS brother, Wayne, it doesn’t help much to protect her clients, the Islamic-American Alliance or her beau, Wallid al Rezani (Harry Lennix) from FBI data mining or stop the rounding up and detention of Muslims. She actually gets herself and Wallid arrested when she shreds the files. Meanwhile, Jack helps Hamri Al Assad to find and stop Fayed.

Ahmed’s MAGA neighbor came back when Ahmend went home to grab a package, getting himself shot because the FBI arrested the wrong Amar. Elsehwere, Jack and Assad foil a subway suicide bomber. CTU learns Bauer foiled the attack and Chloe proved Jack was right, showing the White House, whom Fayed calls to coerce President Wayne Palmer into releasing several terrorist prisoners. Jack convinces a reluctant Assad into letting CTU to help with satellite coverage and Curtis is rerouted to pick them up, a bad idea. Ahmed, injured by MAGA man’s assault, takes the Wallace Family hostage to have a package delivered. Jack and Assad’s plan worked to acquire the suspect on satellite, but when they figure out that he was only going to a dead drop, they move on him and he blows himself up. Ray Wallace delivers the package ($50,000) but the recipient demands more, leaving Ray no choice but to kill him, taking the component. Jack retrieves data from suicidal suspect’s damaged laptop showing a components list for a Former Soviet suitcase nuke, determining the bombings were a ruse to trick the POTUS into releasing Hasan Numair (Shaun Majumder), whom was helped to escape by a National Guard Sergeant, sending him to Fayed to activate the suitcase.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind fuck: fear peddling (nuclear) – a continuous barrage of nonstop necessary illusions of radical Islamic terrorism, the American mind is systematically engineered to accept the erosion of our individual liberties.
  • *** personal opinion *** Okay, now this is just me talking here. I mentioned Boss of Bosses, Semion Mogilevitch in a previous post. He trades in nuclear materials (long read), allegedly he is in possession of several missing low-yield nuclear suitcase bombs from the Former Soviet arsenal. Our current POTUS, Trump is connected to this man whom the CIA once labeled “the world’s most dangerous gangster,” and I find it odd that he was removed from the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted before all of this, and living for several in exile as persona non grata, now he lives openly with his family in Moscow. I find it deeply disturbing that Evangelicals who hate Jewish people and solely support Israel because they want apocalypse to occur to bring Jesus back for a final conversion, support Trump unquestioningly. I also find it equally disturbing that Evangelical evildoer, Erik Prince, roams about with a private mercenary army of the highest caliber without oversight, while Trump provokes Iran incessantly on behalf of Bibi Netanyahu. I’ve read enough of the Bible to be wholly familiar with Revelation and see Prince as being qualified to plan and execute a false flag operation to plant a nuclear device in Jerusalem to fulfill Biblical prophecy. I’m not saying this is the truth or that I really know anything here. But as I’ve stated previously, I don’t believe in coincidences, nor do murder police nor do counter-terror or counterinsurgency officers either. Just something to consider, but I digress.

Jack, Curtis, and Assad save Scott Wallace (Michael Angarano) from Ahmed just before he was about to kill him, then this happens…

So Jack Bauer initially called it quits, but the smoking gun snaps him back into action. Hamri Al Assad is brought back to CTU for a briefing with Bill Buchanan, and clearly Fayed has 4 more suitcase nukes. Assad names Former Soviet General Dimitri Gredenko (Rade Serbedzija) as a source he knew of, but never met. When Morris O’Brian looks into possible business contacts, the names Phillip Bauer (James Cromwell) and son Graem “Gray” Bauer (Paul McCrane) (whom we’d seen unnamed in Season 5, pulling President Logan’s strings) and BXJ Technologies, appear and they call Jack to tell him and he calls “Gray”, looking for their father. The White House shilly-shallies over what to do, debating suspending civil liberties, mass detentions and deportations. At the meantime, CTU is clueless of Fayed’s lack of an no engineer and triggering mechanism for the remaining 4 suitcase nukes. Darren McCarthy (David Hunt), originally assigned to dismantle them for BXJ and recycle componants for nuclear energy production, but instead sold them to Abu Fayed, was offered even more money to find an immediate replacement engineer. Jack shows up to his brother, Graem’s house and asks politely with a plastic bag over his head. Meanwhile at the White House, Tom Lennox strong-arms Karen Hayes into resigning in the middle of a crisis so he can further shred the Constitution and hamstring CTU’s own people based on their Middle Eastern background. When Jack and Gray get to McCarthy’s office, their father shows up and Gray takes them both away in cuffs when their Father’s security guys turn out to be working for Gray.
