Frank Zappa allegedly once said, “Hollywood is just the entertainment arm of the Pentagon.”  This is absolutely true, and what started as a joke often wasted on Facebook on numerous comment threads has ended up becoming an entire dissertation for me.  Zappa also said once that “government is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex,” which is also true.  Personally, I don’t like the term, Military Industrial Complex (M.I.C.), all that much because it’s just as much of a cynically calculated misnomer as the term “Corporate America,” in that it works as a red-herring to pull people off the scent of the actual issue of concentrated private power (A.K.A. feudalistic aristocrats/plutocrats hiding behind corporate structures, foundations, and think-tanks).

Were it not for Hollywood, military recruitment probably would’ve dropped even further, long before 9/11, believe me.  If not for Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Tom Cruise, they might’ve had to reinstate the draft after we attacked ourselves to start this current never ending War of on Terror, bringing me to the original source of my joke.  But rather than get all sidetracked into a lengthy digression about the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, Stanford Research Institute, the RAND Corporation, and the social engineering shenanigans of the Hollywood studio system, I’ll just tell you my joke.

“If you ever wanted to know what the Anglo American Establishment was really up to, just watch 24, they’ll tell you.”

24, starring Kiefer Sutherland, is actually one of my favorite shows of all time for this very reason.  Because if there is one thing I can tell you about Fascists, they’re not exactly what I would call creative.  They pull the same gag over and over again.

Not to go all Building 7 here, but anyone with a rough idea of how the Hollywood studio system works already knows that a television show doesn’t just come out right away.  24 premiered in November of 2001, just two months after the September 11th attack. Incidentally, CDR Richard Marcinko, USN, SEAL was technical advisor to this show which coincidentally came out right after 9/11.  As an ex Navy guy familiar with old Demo Dick, I find it awfully coincidental that he was technical advisor to a one-hour, live-action, counter-terror drama series that was already developed, pitched most likely to several different producers long before finding the one who could actually walk it into a network like Fox, cast it, shoot it, and meet deliverables deadlines to be ready for broadcasting at too coincidental a moment in history to be anything less than a pattern.  Coincidentally, Dick Marcinko often crows about how he doesn’t believe in coincidence either, mind you. Those of you not familiar with Dick Marcinko, he was the founder of everyone’s favorite go-to SEAL Team of arbitrarily ignorant reference, SEAL Team 6 (now commonly known as DEVGRU).  Everyone’s favorite television counter-terror operative, Jack Bauer, is allegedly based loosely on his experiences.  I’m not sure how true that is necessarily, but I’ve read enough of his material to at least give this Internet rumor a little bit of credibility.  However, as I understand it he was only technical advisor to Season 5, but I digress…

But 24 is more than just a television series, it is without a doubt the finest imaginable salesmanship mechanism for not only the War on Terror but for the overall American political narrative as well, in that it’s helped to change attitudes, reinforce stereotypes, and normalize torture in the perceptions of millions of people whom normally would have found it morally repugnant less than 20 years ago.  One could even go so far as to call 24 a high rated torture porn, but we’ll get to that shortly.

I remember a time not all that long ago, where if you were to mention torture in casual company, it would’ve been frowned upon. But somehow, the Fox Television Network action-drama, 24, had this insidious way of bringing a pro and con torture debate into numerous episodes with the obligatory, “but we’re America, we don’t do that, it’s against the Geneva Convention,” etc., subsequently followed by, “but he’s got a bomb, he’s got a nuke, he’s got a virus, he’s going to kill the _______,” and torture would win the debate, even if it meant that old Jack Bauer had to “go dark,” with  everyone hot on his tail with shoot to kill orders nipping at his butt, just to get ‘er done.

Jack can get ‘er done, no?

To ensure that you forget that Jack Bauer just tortured somebody to get the doohickey that was going to blow up something or another, the bad guys will capture Kiefer Sutherland and give him a good torturing too, to further remind the American psyche that it’s okay to torture the bad guys because their guys are probably torturing our guys too, no?

When I first moved out to Los Angeles in 1992, less than a week after the Rodney King Beating Verdict ignited riots that set several, noticeable upon arrival, portions of L.A. ablaze.  Growing up in small town Midwest America, we didn’t have a lot of easy access to alternative media as you would find in a city like Los Angeles.  I’m not saying that we’re particularly unique in that regard because Chicago was never all that far from my hometown, but in small town America an underground bookstore just wasn’t all too common.  In L.A., I’d met all sorts of different people from all walks of life who’ve passed me information of various significance, books, pamphlets, files, and the like.  I never knew that there was a name for it until I recently started seeing various YouTube videos talking about “predictive programming.” 

If you ever want to know what the Anglo American Establishment is up to, just watch 24, they’ll tell you flat out.  I read some material more than twenty years ago that explained how this system actually works.  Allegedly, between the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, the RAND Corporation, and Stanford Research Institute, a psychological profile of the American public is performed annually to determine just what we the people are ready to accept next.  Based on such input, trends and fads are preset for everything from music to fashion to film and television as a part of a societal destabilization to further centralize authority and ultimately control it through such destabilization.

Narratives are easiest to implement through film and television, and as far as I have been able to determine, it goes kind of like this.  Your news media is lying to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365/12, on just about every mainstream media news outlet.  But you are being fed tiny snippets truthful information, however, mixed up with Hollywood razzmatazz (A.K.A. “bullshit”), and it’s implemented in this manner so that you’ll already be of an unofficially indoctrinated train of thought where if the actual truth were somehow exposed, you already knew it anyway.  Meanwhile, actual whistle-blowers end up getting mixed in with the hodgepodge of self-anointed “research journalists” on YouTube and blog-pages like this one.  Any of the Hoi Polloi out there like myself who calls the system out on their thought-form propaganda can easily be dismissed as someone who saw one too many episodes of 24, one too many episodes of the X-Files, one too many episodes of Person of Interest, one too many episodes of  ________________ .

Enter Jack Bauer and Fox Television’s hit series, 24.  Before I go too far here, don’t get me wrong because I too enjoy a bit of escapism and 24 happens to be one of my all time favorite shows.  I actually own the entire series on DVD.  But my little 24 dissertation here is really one of the main things I love about it, that and the action. Being that I’m a closet gamer fanboy too, I had the game and loved that as well.  I’ve always been an admirer of Kiefer Sutherland too, being that he can cowboy with the best of them and I’m one of those weird bookworm blogger pothead musicians who actually likes rodeos and thought that he was badass in The Cowboy Way, but I digress.  As I had stated previously in How 24 Sold the War on Terror, it was awfully coincidental to release a “real-time” War on Terror action thriller just 2 months after 9/11.  I don’t believe in coincidences, so there’s that. But back to “predictive programming”, because with the exception of two things, the ridiculously overblown terror scenarios and Hillary Clinton, everything else on 24 pretty much came to pass.

Don’t believe me?  Let’s start from the beginning, Season One of 24 starts off, not necessarily on the radical Islam tip right off the bat, but we’re given a vague explanation about how U.S. covert actions in the Balkans are coming back to bite us in the ass.  But in a vain similar to 1997’s the 5th Element (Tommy “Tiny” Lister), 1998’s Deep Impact (Morgan Freeman), 2003’s Head of State (Chris Rock), and 2006’s Idiocracy (Terry Crews), the Military Industrial Complex propaganda wing that is Tavistock, RAND, and Stanford Research Institute, Hollywood studio system’s predictive programmers present veteran actor, DENNIS HAYSBERT to let y’all know  —>> BLACK GUY, gonna be the President of the United States, and you are going to just LOVE him.

But let me give you the skinny on Season One of 24, so that we’re all on the same page.  Jack Bauer, whom was already disliked an mistrusted by numerous people at CTU because he had brought down a number of CTU agents as corrupt, was placed on a high alert when he and his coworkers at CTU are informed that there is a plot to assassinate Senator David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) on the day of the California Presidential Primary.  Jack’s daughter, Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) is kidnapped as a means to coerce Jack to be the one to kill the Senator and soon after his wife, Teri (Leslie Hope) is additionally kidnapped and dragged into the whole mess, we learn that all of this links back to an operation that Jack participated in, in which Senator Palmer authorized a Delta Force unit to be sent to Kosovo, Yugoslavia, to assassinate one Victor Drazen (Dennis Hopper).

Let’s start with the torture, shall we? It didn’t really dawn on me right away, but come season two it was already kinda filling itself in. Never underestimate the devious nature of the ideological Fascist in the sense that you must always remember that at their very heart of hearts, degradation is their endgame.

The normalization of torture is a societal degradation in that it degrades our collective sense of morality. It doesn’t matter that it’s been demonstrated and clearly stated by numerous intelligence professionals that torture isn’t a reliable means of producing actionable intelligence. I think Nice Guy Eddie said it best when he said the following…

After several episodes of shooting, looting, and drama, not to mention to torture of Ted Cofell (Currie Graham) as shown previously above, the show does end with Jack Bauer getting his man and getting his kid back but at a grave cost to him personally.  But I have to take a slight detour here, because this is going to go on for more than a few posts and something’s been bugging me for years that I’d nearly forgot to address.

I want to talk about the treason of Jamey Farrell (Karina Arroyave) a moment before I wrap this up.  The writers really didn’t put too much thought into it, which disgusted me to no end and I can’t help but to stop and say a little something about this because it was one of the first things I’d noticed since it was all just way too cliche.  When they find out that Jamey was working for Ira Gaines (Michael Masse – R.I.P. 2016), they gave the most ridiculously stereotypical answer on planet earth that they give for every Latina character ever given on television or cinema.  What was it?  She had a baby, it’s always because she had a baby and needed to take care of the baby.  Are you fucking kidding me??  You mean to tell me that these racist fuck-stains in the writers room, whom came up with just about every contingency imaginable to the point that a common line throughout the show was “contingency plan” couldn’t come up with a better reason for a CIA data analyst or data scientist who lives with her mother in Echo Park in 2001 (Echo Park was nowhere near gentrified back then, it was a shithole) to completely betray her country and participate in a plot to assassinate a U.S. senator running for president was because she had a baby to take care of?  You jive ass motherfuckers don’t know that a CIA (there IS no CTU, welcome to Hollywood) data analyst can make anywhere from $81,732  – $122,598 per year.  A CIA data scientist’s salary ranges from $126,205 – $138,317.  Perhaps the next time nitwits decide to come up with a reason for an individual to betray their country on television, they could at the very least come up with something better than the most racist unpolished turd reason they could cook up.  But I digress…

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype reinforcement.  Poorly thought through, but thoroughly engaged.

The season ends with Jack getting his daughter back, saving Senator Palmer, and killing Victor Drazen, only to be rewarded with his wife being murdered by one of his most trusted work associates, Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke).  I’d say that puts us all on the same page for the first season of 24.  The one major takeaway for the American psyche is that traitors, spies, and infiltrators are literally everywhere and our guys can’t even trust each other.

Season One was kind of easy on the torture, but in the second season they go all the way, believe me.

** SPOILERS GALORE, but it’s old enough of a show that you probably already saw it before.  But I know some who haven’t.

Season Two (Day 2) of 24 starts with torture from jump, when in Seoul, South Korea, South Korean intelligence operatives torture a man (#1) and give the supervising American CIA officer the word, “today”, and President Palmer’s vacation with his son is interrupted by news of actionable intelligence that there is a nuclear device under terrorist control on U.S. soil and that it is supposed to go off today in L.A..

•  RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture produced actionable intelligence on a nuclear device.

In alignment with the new post 9/11 narrative, a known Middle Eastern splinter group called Second Wave is behind it.  Because of this, unemployed burnout former CTU agent Jack Bauer is called in personally by President Palmer to forget about his murdered wife and come back to CTU to help stop this nuke from going off in L.A.  For brevity’s sake, I’ll be leaving out pointless subplots involving his daughter Kim.  However, immediately we are shown that various NSA, Joint Chief’s, State Department, and D.O.D. officials are scampering about behind his back in efforts to prep for war, even though it’s unclear as to what country, if any, is involved in this terror plot.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: paving public opinion for presidential plausible deniability.

Less than 20-minutes after Bauer is brought back to help with finding the nuclear device, this happens…

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Duplicity in government – The government is willing to give a free walk to murderous chomos (prison term for child molester)
  • Given the current Jeffrey Epstein situation, your mind was already engineered to accept such uncomfortable truths, remember that. 
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Murder of a Federal witness is on the menu when it comes to national security.  Truer words have never been written.

Jack reestablishes cover with Anti-government American domestic terrorists , Eddie Grant, Chris Jones, Scott Owen, Dave, and Frank, who bring him along where they subsequently murder a telephone company repairman to disrupt communications signal and gain entry into CTU to blow it up and kill everyone inside.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Stereotype reinforcement – Self proclaimed patriots and constitutionalists could very well be terrorists, and in reality they very well could.
  

Needless to say, Jack Bauer gave ample warning, the NSA fucked him.  After the bombing occurs Jack kills the “taking our country back” white patriots off and their leader, Joe Wald kills himself.  Shortly thereafter, President Palmer, after having given Nina Myers, who killed Jack Bauer’s wife the year before, a full presidential pardon in order to get one step closer to the nuke, which after discovery that a NSA connected Special Operations unit was involved, we’re led to another Muslim terrorist which gives us yet another torture opportunity(#2).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: – torture, radical Muslims torture a nice clean cut American man to death in a most gruesome manner and almost do the same to a nice lady just to be thorough, reminding Americans that when they do it they’re far more brutal than us.
  

Then after some hemming, hawing, shucking, and jiving over the rightness and wrongness of things, the President decides to have his NSA Chief , Roger Stanton (Harris Yulin) tortured (#3) when it becomes clear that the U.S. covert operations unit that was tracking the nuclear device, the Coral Snake Group, was under NSA Chief Stanton’s control all along.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: presidential double whammy
  • Plausible deniability, exhibiting that the President could be having things happen behind his back for his own protection.
  • Torture – When George W Bush was just getting warmed up in his War on (of) Terror, presidential participation in torture is being normalized in the name of protecting American lives from terror, even nuclear.

After Jack Bauer has foreign operatives fake the killing of the son of the apparent terrorist quarterback, Syed Ali (Frencesco Quinn) in order to obtain the location of the bomb, which was being monitored by commandos, all of whom were murdered by their own leader, Captain Jonathan Wallace (Gregg Henry), in order to hide the fact that it was orchestrated by members of the American business private sector from the very beginning.  The bomb goes off safely in the desert and we’re given a bunch of who-ha regarding a telephone conversation that shows 3 different countries involved in the conspiracy to detonate a nuclear device on US soil.  An interesting development in this is that Syed Ali is accused of meeting with these Middle Eastern government officials in Cyprus, “the Cyprus recording.”  (Cyprus is a known money laundering hub by the way)  Syed Ali states he wasn’t in Cyprus, but in Berlin, Germany.

• Side-note, if you follow Dr Joseph Farrell, he lays out how the actual 9/11 hijackers were in Berlin and had strong German connections. 
  • Side-side-note, at the end of Season One (Day 1), wild-card independent operative traitor, Nina Meyers (the one who killed Jack’s wife), she actually killed Jack’s wife because she overheard her handlers saying that nobody could know about her connection to Germany.  I could go on for hours on Germany, and will in another blog-post later, but this is important and you should keep this in your personal mind-files.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Predictive programming – Canadian startup known as Lyrebird has come up with software that can mimic anyone’s voice using algorithmic A.I.

Shortly thereafter, Jack and a foreign agent, Yusef Auda (Donnie Keshwarz), from one of the three countries accused of conspiring to detonate the nuke on US soil, take out a team of commandos sent to kill the Wallace of the Coral Snake Group, who just assassinated Syed Ali and happens to be the only person who can verify that this Cyprus recording that all the experts claimed was genuine, was a fake and that the clandestine unit allegedly tracking the nuke was was killed by their leader whom was tasked with making sure the bomb went off so as to start a war in the Middle East.  However, in the midst of the firefight against the team of commandos sent to kill them, Wallace was mortally wounded but a data chip containing the original source recordings proving the Cyprus recordings were fake was recovered from his ribcage.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: False flag terror – truth in television.  They’re pretty much letting you know that we have numerous individuals within our own government working on behalf of unknown private sector players to justify wars and clandestine operations.

We see now that wealthy private sector individuals, one Peter Kingsley (Tobin Bell) and had been orchestrating everything from the start, but more importantly we’re still being engineered to sell us the war on terror when Jack Bauer is tortured by Kingsley’s mercenaries (#4).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture (reverse scenario) – here we see Jack Bauer being tortured by terrorists to further remind the American psyche that our guys get tortured too, which further manufactures the consent of the American public.  They do it to us, so we do it to them and it’s right to do so.  
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: truthful information dissemination.  All corporate punditocracy news and opinion media outlets on television, radio, and Internet continually push the “radical Islam” terror narrative, but in reality, and you will see this repeatedly throughout the entire 24 counterterror entertainment series, it’s a bunch of wealthy oligarchs, corporatists, industrialists, and fascists orchestrating everything along the way to further their own interests and control the USA for their themselves.

Needless to say, Jack Bauer turns it around, kills them and escapes.  Meanwhile, the President’s entire cabinet aligns against him to possibly invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution to remove him from office because he won’t commit to military action against the three countries accused of conspiring to detonate a nuclear device on US soil.  Shenanigans ensue and the US goes to the brink of launching a military attack on three innocent countries before Jack Bauer saves the day, catches up with the baddies and a disastrous war is prevented by his heroic actions.  He kicked a lot of ass and killed a lot of people along the way, it was epic.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – conveys the message that the President might have people on the inside working against him, which regardless of whether it’s true or not, gives plausible deniability and doubt enters the American psyche, shielding Presidential accountability. 

But in the end, we learn that Peter Kingsley was working with another dubious German arms dealer in a yacht named Max (Thomas Kretschmann), who set forth a contingency plan after Jack saved the day and stopped the war, and for the second time in the series, we see the assassin, Mandy (Mia Kirshner), whom we’d seen before in Season One when she stole an I.D. from a fellow air passenger and blew up the plane after she jumped out.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: truthful information dissemination – As I stated in the previous post about Day 1, we’re being lied to 24/7 365 on every news outlet, yet given snippets of truthful information through fiction to engineer public sentiment whilst also giving just enough of the truth to provide plausible deniability. 
  • I mentioned the German connection with Nina Myers given at the end of Day 1, and also mentioned the German connection to the actual 9/11 hijackers.  Naturally, to call them out on all of this gives them deniability and you’ll look like you’ve watched too much TV.

Fox Broadcasting Company’s popular counterterror action drama, 24, starring Kiefer Sutherland took a slight detour from Day 2’s radical Islam coming to nuke your Grandmother’s house narrative on Day 3 to wrap the War on Terror and the War on Drugs into one burrito to scare the shit out of the American people and sow seeds of misanthropic cynicism, paving the way for today’s current fear of the other who may be sneaking in from Mexico.

At the very beginning of the day, a van plants a bomb to blow open the entrance to the National Health Services to leave a dead body.  Jack Bauer is back, and together with his partner, Chase Edmunds (James Badge Dale), they’re in a Federal Prison and a deal being made with a drug lord, Ramon Salazar (Joaquin de Almeida) that they took down who does business with terrorists, only for him to turn and stab his own lawyer in the neck, threatening that what happens next is on Jack.  Immediately thereafter we learn that the body left at National Health Services was addressed to a scientist, Dr Sunny Macer (Christina Chang), and that it had been previously infected with a type 3 immuno pulmonary disease.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: bio-terror – as if scaring the shit out of Americans with nuclear terror wasn’t already enough, a biological weapon is ever scarier, and an even more perfect consent manufacturing mechanism to remind us that they could sneak in from Mexico with diseases to wipe us out from the human race altogether.

We learn right away that The Cordilla virus (a fictional virus), a type 3 immuno pulmonary virus, similar to the Hantavirus, has an incubation period that was initially 14 hours but decreased significantly as a result of a weaponized variant added.  The symptoms of the virus were nose-bleeds, hemorrhaging, skin abscesses and death occurs within the first 24 hours, and they have no idea how they’ll release it or what form it’s in.   Immediately we see that some nice young white boy, Kyle Singer (Riley Smith), carried a bag of what he thought was cocaine across the Mexican border.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: war on terror/war on drugs wraparound – by inferring that a bio-weapon can be engineered to be in a crystalline form to be hidden within illegal drugs such as cocaine or heroin engineers public opinion towards fear of drug traffickers and terrorists working together to destroy America.

Shortly thereafter, the FBI receives a call demanding the release of Ramon Salazar, or else the virus will be unleashed.  His brother, Hector Salazar (Vincent Laresca) runs the operation from Northern Mexico and he has an operative working within CTU, Gael Ortega (Jesse Borrego), who is monitoring everyone.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype reinforcement – subterfuge to confuse the viewer about the loyalty or moral ambiguity of Latino personnel, whom as we witnessed in Season 1 might sell out the USA for money since they come from poorer communities.

To make the story more interesting, we learn that Jack had acquired a heroin addiction during his time spent undercover working to take down Salazar.  In order to stop the release of the virus, Jack gets silent authorization from the president to break Ramon Salazar out of prison and starts a prison riot to make it happen, subsequently evading pursuing authorities and absconding with Salazar to Mexico.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: counterintelligence – not that this is much of a mind-fuck, but at times it is necessary for operators to maintain cover by engaging in drug use and illegal activities.

After Jack has the tables turned on him and ends up being taken to Mexico by the man he just broke out of prison, through the use of chemical interrogation, we discover that not only was Gael Ortega not a traitor.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture (chemical interrogation) – Gael is tortured with hyoscine-pentothal (fictional drug) which is a drug designed to induce nerve pain throughout the body.  Sways public opinion with the perception that we’re willing to torture our own people and they’re willing to endure it in order to protect American lives.

In reality, Jack, Gael, and Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) were actually covertly using the opportunity to work Jack’s way back in with the Salazar brothers as part of a sting operation so as to get to the actual source of the virus because the Salazars weren’t really the ones in possession of the virus but merely seeking the virus themselves to act as brokers to sell it to other parties (terrorists) still unknown.  The virus was originally developed by Ukrainian scientists who were looking to sell it on the open market.  The entire ruse was so that Jack could gain possession of the virus and catch or kill the parties seeking to sell it.  Chase, unaware of Jack’s sting operation, pursues Jack to Mexico and ends up getting tortured by the Salazar’s men just before Hector’s

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – providing the Executive Branch from liability of criticism from public opinion by giving public perception that sometimes the president has no idea what’s going on behind his back, whether he does or not.  Note the last line, “he did do the right thing.”  Now if that isn’t a deflection of criticism, I don’t know what is.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: predictive programming – Ukrainian scientists foreshadow a recurring theme of potential inflammation of geopolitical tensions between the United States and the Former Soviet Union.  Ukraine is a part of the Former Soviet Union and also a Nazi sympathizer enclave in the Eastern Bloc today and in the past.  This is actually important when you understand that the Vor v Zakonye (Thieves In Law) criminal fraternity known vaguely as the Russian Mafiya or the Organizatzia.  Since the end of 24, the series, the United States and Russia (Former Soviet Union) have had continued growing tensions that have reached the point that many are calling it a restarting of the Cold War.

I’m sure you’ve already noticed by now that I haven’t stated much about cartel based corruption in Mexico, of which Day 3 of 24 makes abundantly clear throughout the first half of the season.  But let me bear emphatically clear, anyone who wants to criticize the drug cartel related violence that happens in Mexico has no need to look any further than Washington D.C. for a place to point their fingers.  More importantly, Americans need to stop allowing their state and federal governments to continue treating them like livestock.  All of this violence is 100% spawned but US domestic recreational drug policy and US foreign policy towards Central and South America.  Back to my analysis of the true lies of 24.

The virus is auctioned off when another buyer appears to contest the cartel brothers in an auction brokered by the man in possession of the virus, one Michael Amador (Greg Ellis), which was basically a means to bring back Nina Myers and make the show more interesting before Jack and the cartel brothers take it away from her and Jack’s people come in for the sting, only to have the virus turn out to be a bomb that puts an end to the cartel involvement with terrorists narrative by killing Ramon Salazar whom incidentally had just killed his own brother to keep the deal in motion.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement – Latinos are hot-blooded and fly off the handle over emotions or money (because they come from poor countries or communities, which I stated in True Lies on 24 – Day 2), and it was also illustrated throughout this story line by making Hector Salazar’s girlfriend, Claudia Hernandez (Vanessa Ferlito) a hotblooded firecracker gold-digger whom just happened to be killed by her hotblooded boyfriend’s fired up pursuit of her as she tried to escape with her father and little brother.

Meanwhile, even though I stated I’d leave out President Palmer’s re-election campaign, his brother, Wayne Palmer (D.B. Woodside) who was his Chief of Staff had wooed the wife, Julia (Gina Torres) of his biggest contributor, Alan Millikan (Albert Hall) and carried on an affair with her, thus Millikan was willing to torpedo his healthcare bill to coerce the President into firing his brother over it

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: plausible deniability – back room deals and favors can always torpedo necessary legislation that could actually help the American people as a whole, thus leaving the President potentially blameless and the people shrugging things off to government corruption or bureaucratic bungling.
  

After Jack and his teams lose the virus to a double cross, Amador escapes with the virus after having his mercenaries cut down the Delta Force team that was on the scene and destroying his cellphone.  Needless to say, Nina tricks Jack once again by promising to help find the virus in exchange for another immunity deal, persuading him to make a phone call that triggers a worm that shuts down all of CTU’s counterterror database and threatens to expose all of CTU’s cover agents around the world.  But short episode consuming detour later, newbie CTU Data Analyst Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) saves the day for the first of many times throughout the series.  Short detour longer, they get to interrogating Nina with pain inducing drugs and she manages to break free, putting CTU on lock-down and ultimately ending Sarah Clarke’s recurring role on 24.

With Nina Myers dead, we discover that the baddies are in possession of 12 stolen former Soviet bio-weapon dispersal devices and that Michael Amador wasn’t supposed to fish for his side deal with the Salazars and that his employer knew who Jack Bauer is.  Later, after they send Marcus Alvers (Lothaire Bluteau) to plant a device at the Chandler Plaza Hotel on Wilshire to “send a message”, we learn that the person behind the whole conspiracy, Stephen Saunders (Paul Blackthorne) knows Jack Bauer quite well as he was part of the original team sent to Kosovo to kill Victor Drazen, which was the original inciting incident of the first season of the show itself.  When the virus is dispersed in the hotel and Michelle Dessler (Reiko Aylesworth) catches Alvers, he informs her that there’s 11 more dispersal devices, and she subsequently locks down the hotel, nobody in and nobody out.  It doesn’t go very well.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: bio-terror – a virus can infect a single person who can transmit the virus far and wide, causing catastrophic outbreaks that can wipe out an entire population.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: weapons proliferation – loose stockpile weapons from the Former Soviet Union are out there.  Propaganda or not, this is truthful information.  Semion Mogilevitch was once considered the world’s most dangerous gangster by the CIA because he had taken control over the entire arms industry of Hungary after the fall of the Soviet Union, making him the world’s first nuclear armed gangster.  There are loose suitcase nukes that it’s suspected he may be in possession of, and this season is just a fictionalized account of such realities we may actually be facing.

Jack and Chase follow a thread that takes them to a local MI6 branch office that is subsequently helicopter attacked and a C4 explosive blows up the servers that hold drives with information that is available nowhere else on earth, which of course Jack manages to get one.  Meanwhile, after having already been coerced into saying the phrase “the sky is falling”, which we never become aware of its intention, terrorist mastermind, Stephen Saunders emphatically orders President Palmer to have Regional Division Director of CTU Los Angeles, Ryan Chappelle (Paul Schulze) or else he will release the Cordilla Virus at another location, has has until 0700 to deliver his corpse to a given location.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: terrorists can win – don’t you ever forget that the USA is constantly vulnerable and that it’s important that we win “by any means necessary” , including torture, murdering our own officials when necessary.  This also works to further justify your tax dollars not going to schools, roads, bridges, environmental preservation, because it’s best for all your money to be routed to the military and our intelligence apparatus, and don’t you forget it.

Plot thickens when it’s discovered that Stephen Saunders has a daughter, Jane (Alexandra Lydon) and that some insurance salesman was at the hotel cheating on his wife and went home to his wife and ended up also going to the pharmacy and the hospital and came into contact with a number of unknown people, thus upping the chances of the disease going viral and possibly killing millions of people.  Already, the majority of the guests in the hotel were dead or dying.  They capture Saunders’s daughter, and just about the time that Jack and Chase have Saunders surrounded, his people capture Michelle Dessler (whom just happened to be immune to the virus) and uses her to coerce Tony Almeida, having almost lost his his wife to the virus, helps Saunders escape.  Needless to say, Jack sniffs him out like a fart in a car and Tony is charged with treason after he tries helping Saunders get his kid back.  Ultimately, they get Michelle back, catch Saunders, and Jack goes all in to stop Saunders from going any further.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: manufacturing consent – there is nothing the US government won’t do to get what they need when they need it.  They’ll sacrifice their own operatives and officials, allow Americans do be murdered, allow terrorist attacks to happen, even put your daughter into a hotel filled with people infected with an incurable disease.  Because contrary to popular belief, the US government does negotiate with terrorists, often.

Though they have Saunders in custody, the writers just couldn’t resist taking one last stab at a racial stereotype.  Of the 11 other vials of the virus, 10 of the terrorists tasked with dispersing them in various highly populated areas in major cities around the country were captured and the dispersal devices deactivated and secured.  While Saunders was going helping CTU go through numerous photos to identify the last terrorist, Gael Ortega’s wife, Teresa Ortega (Kamala Lopez), who’d come to pick up the rest of her very recently deceased husband’s thing, shot him with Gael’s gun in a fit of mournful rage just before he was able to identify the last terrorist.  Naturally, Jack and Chase caught the guy and took the last vial to a safe bioweapon safe container just in the nick of time.  But not before Jack had to chop Chase’s hand off to make it happen.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial stereotype re-enforcement – those hot-blooded Latinas and their wild emotional outbursts, the firecracker hot tamale woman just couldn’t keep herself together and killed the only witness who could identify the last terrorist.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: racial profiling – Tony Almeida (Latino) turned out to weak of character to the point that he would put American lives at risk just to save his wife.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: war on terror engineering of consent – our guys go all the way, so be thankful that they’d even let each other chop their hands off just to save your American ass and keep you safe, so COUGH UP and don’t complain about astronomical military expenditures on your dime.  Fuck your roads, bridges, school, and infrastructure.

After high jinks and shenanigans that ultimately lead to the death of his ex-wife, President Palmer chooses not to seek re-election.

Jack’s back, and 24’s better than ever for more than a few reason.  Not just because there was no Kim, but in Season 4, as if Sean Callery‘s music wasn’t already some of the best soundtrack music on television, he upped his game and it got better than ever.  Season 4 had the most memorable music of the entire series from Season 1 all the way to the very end, including, 24, The Game, (bet your ass, I had that), 24 – Live Another Day, and 24 – Legacy.  All show quality praise aside, let’s dig in, shall we?

The Pentagon propaganda network never stops, bringing us back from the Season 3 detour that wrapped the war on terror and the war on drugs into a Spicy Diablo Burrito, seasoning a Mexican drug cartel looking to make a buck with a disgruntled ex-intelligence operative threatening to release a bio-weapon that could wipe out the whole country.  Day 4 begins with a train derailment attack that served as cover to steal a briefcase handcuffed to one of the passengers.  Shortly thereafter, we meet a Muslim family, the Araz Family, who fit every frightening stereotype you could ever cook up.  The Araz Family is completely forehead deep in a terrorist act that will “change the world,” and the entire family is involved, the father Navi Araz (Nestor Serrano), his wife Dina (Shohreh Aghdashloo), even their son, Behrooz (Jonathan Ahdout).

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement – “terrorists next door” shape American perceptions with a cynically ominous representation of Middle Eastern immigrants, engineering consent for military and intelligence budgets that cut education, while ignoring our national healthcare crisis and crumbling infrastructure.
  • Navi Araz (the father) is cold, cruel, diabolically evil/sinister, an authoritarian father who reads his sons emails and taps his phone calls to keep him from establishing relationships with American girls to get too Americanized, and is willing to murder his own son for disobeying him.
  • Dina Araz (the mother) is a little less cold and sinister, has a certain amount of kindness to her in her appearance, but is still committed enough to the cause to murder her son’s American girlfriend by poisoning her to death.
  • Behrooz Araz (the son) is complicit in working with his parents to commit terrorist atrocities on U.S. soil.  But he’s been too Americanized to commit, and rebels against his parents when he has second thoughts about their cause after they murder his American girlfriend, Debbie.

A friend of Chloe O’Brien‘s, one Andrew Page (Lukas Haas) was stealing code to get free Adobe Creative Suite Software when he comes across code that shows that someone is setting up a major Internet attack, so he calls Chloe and tells her.  Chloe tries to tell her boss, Erin Driscoll (Alberta Watson), but she’s dismissive about it and since Jack just happened to be at CTU to discuss budget issues with Driscoll, whom fired him previously because of his previous heroin addiction, she tells Jack.  When Jack is equally treated dismissively by Driscoll, he does what Jack does best.

It turns out that the train bombing was a diversion from their actual plan to kidnap Jack Bauer‘s new boss (he was fired from CTU by Driscoll for his previous heroin addiction), Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane) and his daughter, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), so he could be put on trial for US Foreign Policy crimes against the Middle East and execute him over an online live-stream, which later turns out to be for a primary objective to make use of the Dobson Override that was stolen in the train derailment and robbery, which gives the user capacity to melt down every nuclear plant in the USA.  Agent Curtis Manning (Roger Cross) interrogates Secretary Heller’s son Richard Heller (Logan Marshall-Green) using non-invasive sensory deprivation interrogation due to his being estranged from his father and was about to go to an anti-military/anti-corporate protest at Lockheed to speak against his father.  Later Curtis brings in Eric Richards (Butch Klein) who’s sole job at CTU is to torture people, but they don’t go all the way with it.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: nuclear terrorism – a device capable of overriding every nuclear facility in the country, the Dobson Override sounds like more than enough to scare the bejezus out of the American people for further justification of bloated military and intelligence budgets that rob your children of a proper education, ignore our crumbling infrastructure, and disregard our national healthcare crisis to further the efforts of geopolitical imperialism in your name.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: enhanced interrogation – torture, in the beginning they use sensory deprivation and describe it as being non-invasive.  S.D. is NOT non invasive as it is still psychological duress, that although physical pain is not actually induced, time and space are distorted and can cause mental breakdown or lead to psychosis.

Meanwhile, as terrorists attempt coercing Secretary Heller into signing a confession for the live-stream trial, Driscoll suggests to the President John Keeler (Geoff Pierson) that he might have to authorize an all out assault that the Secretary might not survive, to protect the country’s image globally.  Jack stages a robbery to stall the terrorist, Kalil Hasan (Anil Kumar), after last-second saving Andrew Page from being executed by his goons just before catching up to him.  But Driscoll shuts Jack down and sics the cops on him before he was able to catch up with Hasan, only to be proven wrong and stuck having to place Jack in command of ground operations anyway.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: Manufacturing consent – no video available, but when Secretary Heller tells his daughter about the show-trial for war crimes against the Middle East, she says “that’s ridiculous,” yet in reality it’s the truth.  Unfortunately, most people already made up their minds about the USA being the good guys in all situations, regardless of the policies that create them or the outcomes.

Concurrently, as Secretary Heller and his daughter attempt suicide to avoid being executed live-stream, Marianne Taylor (Aisha Tyler), whom despite Curtis Manning’s warning to Driscoll that her selfish career ambitions could be a problem, was brought aboard anyway, coerces Edgar Stiles (Louis Lombardi) into convincing Driscoll to upgrade her clearance level, giving her unfettered access and Chloe is fired for helping Jack against Driscoll’s orders, but she doesn’t snitch Edgar out.  After a brief altercation, terrorist Hasan deducts that a police interference of an altercation was being handled and martyrs himself before Jack is led to the location Heller & Audrey are being held.

Hemming, hawing, shucking and jiving aboard Air Force One to  debate the potential loss of street cred for the USA if our Sec-Def is publicly executed on American soil, again presenting a preemptive strike to prevent our enemies from making a public spectacle of his death, the president reluctantly agrees.  But Jack goes it alone, as usual, and kills nearly everyone, saving Secretary Heller and his daughter just in time before the missile strike.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: manufacturing consent – during the live-stream war-crimes trial of Heller,“blasphemy” is mentioned, despite that the evangelical apocalyptic death cult is near identical to radical Islam.

• • RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: predictive programming – take note of Secretary Heller’s exact same orange jumpsuit that ISIS hostages wore ten years after.  Same county-jail orange and same headgear worn by the terrorist.  Awfully coincidental for a coincidence.
    

• Side-note: As illustrated throughout this thesis, the time span of predictive programming on 24 works out to 7 – 10 years, roughly.  24 initially aired in November of 2001 and Barack Obama began his term in January, 2009, further uncanny and ominous coincidences will be illustrated as I continue.
• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: true lies – Audrey makes mention of a co-conspirator she saw in the compound she was held hostage being someone she saw at a Heritage Foundation dinner 2 months prior, a man who turns out to be connected to their theft of the Dobson Override.  There is truth in this, and if you keep your eye on the Heritage Foundation, you’ll see that they’re a Fascist think-tank working against the American public as a whole in favor of privatization of practically everything in our lives, in this particular instance of course, it would be a private sector outsourcing of control of our entire nuclear power grid througout the nation into the hands of a private military corporation such as the fictional company, McClennen Forster in this particular show.

The live-stream trial of Secretary Heller turned out to be a Trojan Horse distraction that gave opportunity for this terrorist network, led by a Habib Warwan (Arnold Vosloo), to use the Dobson Override device to take control of every nuclear power plant in the country.   Edgar Stiles gains a piece of code to shut down the attack on all of them.  Jack and Audrey go to a security company to look at photos to find the guy she saw when she was a hostage only to have Marianne Taylor sell them out to mercenaries who come to kill them.  Tony Almeida just happens to be near enough to save their asses and let them hole up with him at his girlfriend’s house while Edgar works to shut down the reactors at CTU.  Marianne Taylor is quickly flushed out as a mole in no time after she diverts suspicion to Sarah Gavin (Lana Parilla), whom is tortured by Eric Richards before Edgar figures sniffs Taylor out like a fart in a car.  Marianne’s ultimately caught and nearly blown up in her escape attempt.  Her employer, Henry Powell (Robertson Dean), formerly with McClennen Forster, gets sniped dead as he attempts escape.

Concurrently, though Edgar was able to stop most of the reactors from melting down, one went critical in San Gabriel Island, which disturbed him to the point of CTU having to bring Chloe O’Brien back into service later, despite being fired earlier by Driscoll for insubordination.

Admit it, Louis Lombardi was great in this scene.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: engineering consent – to further justify bloated military and intelligence expenditures and further protect concentrated private power by shielding them from accountability for their imperialist ambitions of world domination and wealth extraction, the Pentagon Propaganda arm of the Military Industrial Complex’s entertainment division lets you know that if you don’t okay their bloated budgets, YOUR Mom could very well end up dying of radiation poisoning at the hands of multinational corporate warlords.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: stereotype reinforcement.  Know this, that Middle Eastern terrorists are coming to melt down our reactors, spread viruses, burn, rape, and pillage, so you’d better approve a higher budget and shut your pie-hole about reality or pacifism. 

Behrooz shoots his Dad right as Jack & Tony catch up, and Dina Araz points them to 24878 Alvert Street, in Chatsworth, a house owned by Galaxy Financial Services, and the CFO happens to be Audrey’s estranged husband, Paul Raines (James Frain), whom Jack soon schedules for some shock therapy when he uses the cord of a hotel-room lamp to light his ass up to figure out if he was connected to the terrorists or not.  He wasn’t, but proves helpful later.

• RAND/Tavistock/Stanford mind-fuck: torture normalization – we see that Bauer tortures a guy whom subsequently helps him and becomes friends with him, further justifying the necessity for torture and a reminder that it’s as just and kosher as Gefilte fish
